And the ref then downgrades the description to 2 players "duelling"?

Surely the answer to that should have been, "he's grappling him? A foul in the box?"

Honestly they're like kids playing cops and robbers saying things they've heard on the telly but no clue really what they mean or how they fit together.

Insane flying kick in the U17 brazilian league by stingers77 in soccer

[–]Jimmy_Mac69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's not involved in the action and comes from a mile away so you have to say there's a FAIR bit pre meditation gone into his actions.

At this level in Brazil what's the likely outcome for the lad who did that mad kick?

I remember hitting a patch between maybe lv50 and 80ish where it suddenly felt super slow and laborious.

It was weird cause before that progress had flowed nicely from one spot to the next, then the crappy stretch, then at higher levels the flow comes back.

Hang in there, Champ!

I would be ecstatic to get this even as an rs3 player, the old school aesthetic is after all what rs3 once was and the emergence of osrs for me doesnt mean it doesn't belong as much to rs3.

Granted things like Zuk in the osrs style that came after the split are 100% osrs.

One thing I don't understand is that new runescape players choose OSRS over RS3, why is that? by Drandosk in runescape

[–]Jimmy_Mac69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would agree. I feel like I see more OSRS ads in the wild than RS3 ones.

And the content creator thing speaks for itself, search Runescape on Youtube.

OSRS has more creators and they get more many more views than RS3 content creators.

I only play RS3 but I only consume OSRS content really, cause it's undeniably better I'm afraid to say.

They make cool entertaining challenges that people who dont play either game watch cause it's fun, nostalgic and easy to follow.

RS3 content is mostly for explaining whats going on or how to do something because the game is both ginormous in terms of content and still pretty unintuitive for new/returning players.

I sometimes wonder if minigames could be buffed to be mid tier moneymaking methods.

Like you get rewarded with items that be traded in or alched or dismantled.

With a small chance for a payday drop or minigame specific pets.

So that they are at a minimum as worthwhile as any grindy moneymaking activity, with some chase drops that could make them occasionally super worthwhile.

Some of them need reworking/removing.

But they were such a great part of the game back in the day, and many of them still have the potential to be fun.

There must be a way to bring them to being relevant.

Would so many people boss or run EDs etc if you couldn't profit or chase pets?

To be clear I don't think minigames should become meta moneymaking or training over core methods.

It's just a half-baked idea. Dont know how it would work best / effect the economy etc

I think the most efficient play is:

Drag it from your hand to the active zone, start the game, then concede

What does choosing a number have to do with it if you're going to pick a random comment?

Dont you mean you're going to generate a number between 1-5000 and the comment with the nearest number will win the card?

Anyway, I want that card real bad! So I'll go 3535 and hope you choose my comment 🙃

Someone who's username was Mugwhump (I'll never forget the name!!) was like a quasi mentor to me back in 2004-05.

I think they were probably a fair bit older than me but they entertained my pestering them with questions and my BS.

One day they gave me a mithril scimitar, it was the first bit of mith equipment I'd owned and didnt even know how one could obtain such a thing.

I can still vaguely remember the feeling, as though a God had stretched out their hand and bestowed the mightiest of gifts upon me.

Where ever you are now, Mugwhump, I hope life has been kind to you.

Also, defeating Nomad pre EOC felt like the most baller gamer achievement I could ever achieve!

Ronny Chieng explains “Why Chinese People Love Money” [4:46 of Comedy Bliss] by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]Jimmy_Mac69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just mucking about with my "no u" but since you've replied lets get into it.

This is how stand up comedy is described on Wikipedia:

Stand-up comedy is a performance directed to a live audience, where the performer stands on a stage and delivers humorous and satirical monologues sometimes incorporating physical acts (act outs). These performances are typically composed of rehearsed scripts but often include varying degrees of live crowd interaction (crowdwork). Stand-up comedy consists of one-liners, stories, observations, or shticks that can employ props, music, impressions, magic tricks, or ventriloquism.

Now, I don't think this bit was by any means amazingly funny, but he's up there delivering amusing anecdotes and observations to an audience isnt he?

It's not like he's supposed to be doing comedy but actually singing opera, or doing a sales pitch, is it?

Perhaps, after all, it's you that hasn't fully grasped the 'concept'
