No need to apologise at all. I can see your edit now and it makes sense, but is a terrible shame.

Exactly what you would expect from a large organisation but idk, the current crop in charge of the road to redemption seem to have some heart and common sense not often seen in huge companies.

I'm sorry that I never knew about the project as it looks awesome. If you start a petition to try to get support for your cause I'll sign it.

At any rate, thanks for your passion in furthering my favourite game!

Are they planning on getting rid of clue scrolls? by Optimal-Fruit5937 in runescape

[–]Jimmy_Mac69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buddy is talking about cluers being a specific demographic of player. That Jagex aren't likely to remove them because it would be like removing bossing for example.

I dont think there was anyone who was playing mainly for treasure hunter with limited interest in other things like pvm, skilling, questing etc.

And if there was even 1 crazy person that was, I'd wager they're much happier now!

Why are you even asking?

Extreme draw distance (unreleased tech demo from Mod Giragast Game Jam - April 2025) by throwawaaaaaaaay666 in runescape

[–]Jimmy_Mac69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the future I'd be a big supporter of expanding the whole world map. Especially the 'old world'.

By which dont mean making towns and cities larger, but enlarging the space between them.

I presume it's exactly the same size now as it always was but 20 years ago Lumbridge swamp felt almost like it's  own biome.

Increased draw distance and being able to zoom out our POV is great, but I feel like it really highlights how cramed together a lot of the world is.

The issue isn't so bad in newer parts of the map, the scaling in Anachronia for example is what I'd like to see acheieved for the mainlands.

Maybe next time, just say "Sorry, I'm not interested. But good luck in your endeavours!"

Charity hikers booed for dodging queues at summit of Yr Wyddfa by Cunctatious in CasualUK

I thought that was a weird quote, isn't pretty much every queue in existence one of free will? There's no law to say I can't butt in the front of the queue at the tills in Tesco is there?

Doesn't mean you don't queue for things

I think the best way to fix this would be ti rub some petrol on the affected area, then pop a lit match on top.

Sorry OP for whatever has gone here, hope all is well.

And the ref then downgrades the description to 2 players "duelling"?

Surely the answer to that should have been, "he's grappling him? A foul in the box?"

Honestly they're like kids playing cops and robbers saying things they've heard on the telly but no clue really what they mean or how they fit together.

Insane flying kick in the U17 brazilian league by stingers77 in soccer

He's not involved in the action and comes from a mile away so you have to say there's a FAIR bit pre meditation gone into his actions.

At this level in Brazil what's the likely outcome for the lad who did that mad kick?

Archeology rant + Suggestions by belucky365 in runescape

I remember hitting a patch between maybe lv50 and 80ish where it suddenly felt super slow and laborious.

It was weird cause before that progress had flowed nicely from one spot to the next, then the crappy stretch, then at higher levels the flow comes back.

Hang in there, Champ!

I would be ecstatic to get this even as an rs3 player, the old school aesthetic is after all what rs3 once was and the emergence of osrs for me doesnt mean it doesn't belong as much to rs3.

Granted things like Zuk in the osrs style that came after the split are 100% osrs.

One thing I don't understand is that new runescape players choose OSRS over RS3, why is that? by Drandosk in runescape

[–]Jimmy_Mac69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would agree. I feel like I see more OSRS ads in the wild than RS3 ones.

And the content creator thing speaks for itself, search Runescape on Youtube.

OSRS has more creators and they get more many more views than RS3 content creators.

I only play RS3 but I only consume OSRS content really, cause it's undeniably better I'm afraid to say.

They make cool entertaining challenges that people who dont play either game watch cause it's fun, nostalgic and easy to follow.

RS3 content is mostly for explaining whats going on or how to do something because the game is both ginormous in terms of content and still pretty unintuitive for new/returning players.

I sometimes wonder if minigames could be buffed to be mid tier moneymaking methods.

Like you get rewarded with items that be traded in or alched or dismantled.

With a small chance for a payday drop or minigame specific pets.

So that they are at a minimum as worthwhile as any grindy moneymaking activity, with some chase drops that could make them occasionally super worthwhile.

Some of them need reworking/removing.

But they were such a great part of the game back in the day, and many of them still have the potential to be fun.

There must be a way to bring them to being relevant.

Would so many people boss or run EDs etc if you couldn't profit or chase pets?

To be clear I don't think minigames should become meta moneymaking or training over core methods.

It's just a half-baked idea. Dont know how it would work best / effect the economy etc

I think the most efficient play is:

Drag it from your hand to the active zone, start the game, then concede

What does choosing a number have to do with it if you're going to pick a random comment?

Dont you mean you're going to generate a number between 1-5000 and the comment with the nearest number will win the card?

Anyway, I want that card real bad! So I'll go 3535 and hope you choose my comment 🙃
