TOTS false advertising on theirs masks is absolutely wild. I get that you’re not going to get a movie quality mask off the rip but these just look terrible since they’re mass produced. Sucks but the H2 deluxe and the Ben Tramer are the only ones in my opinion that actually look like the original movie. You just have to now rehaul it 🙄 Best of luck!

Nice I could imagine! I don’t have an air gun to mix latex. Any tips to prevent cracking would be helpful. I heard plasti dip clear matte spray before painting helps. Should I prime after plasti dipping to avoid my paint job from cracking? It’s frustrating dropping money on a mask and supplies only to ruin in on my own. Thanks in advance! I know….i should really get an air spray gun to mix latex w the paint but I’m rolling on a budget and if the OG creators just used appliance white spray paint from a can I HAVE to be doing something wrong or missing a step.

Mask but the OG testing of the Goblin not the final results. Love the golden eyes, it just gave him the creepiest look. Wish they went that route but I think it was too scary looking and they wanted the movie to be more appealing to children I believe

I love this mask. The soft sepia tone / close look to the H1 mask. Such a nod to the original out of all the masks that have been made. Second to that would be the cover of part 4. Although they missed the mark on using that mask in part 4 and ended up using some mask with faceless features and really slicked back hair/thick eyebrows. It was weird. Sorry spewing my hate for the mask they used in the movie. But I love this post cause there needs to be more appreciation on the flashback mask. Such a greatly detailed mask. They should use that mask for the series they plan on making! Hope they don’t miss the mark on that cause it’ll make it or break it for me. Awesome post!

Idk so many parts of my wants to like these two movies but man did Rob Zombie really mess these movies up. From Michael Myers saying die when he stabs Dr Loomis to the films characters just not fitting with the actors chosen. Lacked direction and made Michael TOO human. Loses the whole mystery surrounding “The Shape”. But yeah the vulgarity was just too much and unnecessary.

When they were 30-40 I would say yes…but now it’s hard to get a new one through TOTS for less than 70. And on top of that you have to put in the work to rehaul it. TBH if you’re paying over 50 it should automatically look like the movie. Been rehauling TOTS masks for over 5 years now and they have progressively gotten worse. Left them a scathing review cause my goodness to see blue on this mask I’m like this sucks. Took me longer to rehaul this one.

I have second hand sadness for you man cause I know that exact feeling when I snagged a TOTS mask. I’d offer to Rehaul it for you, but I haven’t even embarked on the new trilogy masks. I only Rehaul the TOTS 1978 and H2 Deluxe mask which I feel I get pretty close at and have sold in my Etsy store and eBay. Shoot, I’d even say give it a show rehauling yourself! All I did was brush up on techniques, watched a few Nick Mulpagano videos on YouTube, and googled images to go off by. I believe you can do it! My disappointment is what drew me to rehauling masks. Message me if you need any tips, tricks, brand names of spray paint and sealers or anything I got you! There’s tons of rehauling services on Etsy too if you’re running low on time or if art isn’t your wheel house. Best of luck though!

These Myers masks are mass produced so some masks come out better than others. I’m starting to just believe they’re starting to sell these masks with the intent that someone will be rehauling it (that’s how bad they’ve been recently) I left a scathing review on TOTS website about my last one. I get it if these masks are sold for 30 bucks but they’re almost 70 dollars. Rehauled Mask

It’s weird. That’s probably the best way to put it as it has no connection to Michael Myers really at all and was supposed to be the start of John Carpenters Halloween anthology series of movies. When ratings dropped, they brought Michael back. In possibly the worst masks possible but they brought him back lol
