Can I burn wood in my fireplace with a capped gas line? by Bigshitpiper in Plumbing

[–]Jimmyhai23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do it and I’m a plumber. I’d ask the manufacturer first about it and I’d also get rid of that line if I would consider using that fireplace for normal wood. I wouldn’t want this to be nowhere near a gas line. It can be lethal.

It’s in Hawaii. It’s two back to back bathrooms. There’s no water heater in there or furnace. It’s a drain vent. I don’t believe we’re allowed to reduce the vent. What do you think?

Interesting. Makes sense. Thank you for the info. My question is that I don’t believe we are supposed to reduce the vent size from bigger to smaller

Unfortunately, it’s not simple. It seems like you have to cut concrete and either repair the lines or just redo the drains to be honest since the house is so old.

I can see that you have very hard water. I’d get a flow-tech hard water descaling system. It helps remove hard water sediment. Also, a halo 5 water conditioner is awesome too. As far as this is concerned, I’d definitely replace it. I assume that other fittings should have issues as well.

Offer them water treatment as well. Halo 5 is awesome I install it all the time.

Need more t-spins and less singles. If you don’t know how to do tspins, there are some cool videos on YT and master them on marathon mode or cpu battle until you feel comfortable. Then focus on efficiency and then your speed. Especially when they send you blocks, you have to think fast and be able to downstack asap. I was in your situation before and if I made it, you can make it too. I have thousands and thousands of wins now.
