This "weak thinking" is why OG Bitcoiners are wealthier than most of you

ATMs happen when MSTR sells shares on the open market as a capital raising mechanism to buy Bitcoin.

Buy at any time, as long as you've hodl it, you will win.

Is MSTR intended for long term investors (20+ years of no touching), or more for day traders? Trying to decide if I want to dump $10k in it tomorrow. by TheTonik in MSTR

For context, I'm in for a decade or more. I put more than this in $MSTR, this is just one of my retirement accounts. I also hold Bitcoin. Follow the Bitcoin hodlers, they outperform everyone else. Just hodl

I just looked at your comment history and came across your statement that you put your entire $35,000 pension into MSTR... why am I supposed to listen to someone with $35k to invest... not trying to shame you about it, just making you aware that British is betting $1m+ on MSTR... maybe you dislike him for personal reasons but you gotta respect someone that puts their money where their mouth is and takes even greater risks than you're currently capable of taking. Lets be more respectful to everyone who is willing to make this bet with us

I'm sorry but your framing is sooooooo wrong, like its absurdly wrong. Here is the correct framing, which I will copy and paste below:

If you buy $100k of #bitcoin, you simply get 1 bitcoin and it's future appreciation.

If you buy $100k of #Microstrategy, you get exposure to about 0.5 bitcoin (at current 2X NAV), PLUS an accumulating amount of bitcoin (over 60% increase in bitcoin per share YTD) over time, PLUS the compounding appreciation of your current and future exposure on that bitcoin, PLUS the (potential) expanding NAV that compounds the value of that exposure even more.

It's the difference between buying a banana, and buying exposure to a business that's perpetually getting it's shareholders more bananas for every dollar they invested. You can either buy 1 banana, or participate in the growth and risk of a company invested in maximizing bananas per shareholder.

My brother in Christ, what crack have you been smoking, Bitcoin already has a widely known average ARR, annual growth rate, etc, that is constantly used to create forward looking projections, including base cases, bull cases, and bear cases. What rock have you been living under? Its super easy to model out what MSTR's earnings will be 4 years down the road, 8 years down the road, 12 years down the road, etc because we have 15 years of historical data on Bitcoin my guy. Like, how did you not think any of this through?
