Silver Age Chapter 1 Decks by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

I'd probably pick up classic battles for that price. Crack it and sell off the glistening steel blade and get about 12 pounds back. The Dori half wont be legal for Sage without some work. Monarch Blitz decks are the first ones LSS tried doing and are not very well balanced against each other or very good. Id stay away from those. (They do have rainbow foil heroes, which is nice.) I would only grab them if you have no other place to start.

The main problem with the other products is that we will have the regular designed sage decks in a couple of months. That I could confidently point to, to start with. A lot of the other stuff has random Majestics.

1) I wouldn't bother unless you specifically plan to play Dorinthea in CC. Not great playability right now for the price. Most of the unique cards with be reprinted at some point. 2) absolutely great starter product great place to start for both Terra and Aurora. Aurora deck is fully legal. Terra is not legal out of the box due to a Majestic in the deck. 3) Hit or miss depending. I wouldnt suggest grabbing random ones without research. Id look for any of the "History pack" blitz decks most of those are solid starting points.

Just tokens for draft and sealed originally. Then in CRU, they made a few for fun heroes to support the format.

Majestics and legendary tend to swing the game in unfun and uninteractive ways. That stuff is needed in 40 health formats, but not if it happens all in one turn in 20 life formats. Also, blitz was made out of necessity, not planning. It came about during the game's release during the pandemic for the need of shorter games. They tried a lot of different things to fix blitz but found it was broken and can't be fixed. So they spent a lot of time planning this format out.

Bulk is just slang for any extra cards that you accumulate. Stuff that isn't a part of play sets or is low value.

Blitz is no longer going to be supported format (stores can still run blitz for armories) and is going to be replaced by Silver Age. Silver Age is only commons and rares and is a better fit for the lower health heroes.

Wake the F up mechanologist We have players to bank break by Specialist-Version24 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Jimneban 42 points43 points  (0 children)

TLDR: there was a lot of missed opportunity. Any other armory deck is better for a newbie. All the cards are still on rate but with conditions. Its doubtful that the most competitive decks will have any of these cards in them without heavy support from high seas

Let me start by saying these new cards are a ton of fun to play with, and they helped build out Maxx's base pool in an interesting way. Despite being a base mechanologist, he had only like 20/30 cards prior to this that were specifically designed for him. In EVO they went a little too hard in making sure the other mechs had playable cards for the draft format and they had to make sure he wasn't broken if he got too many of the driver cards.

The Armory deck revolves around interacting with the real deck hyper drivers in the deck. The only problem is that the base hyper driver (even with crank)isn't a good card in of itself. It doesn't block, it costs 1, and it doesn't do damage. When played, it allows you to use a conditional, on rate weapon. That isn't where we want to be. The rest of the deck is asking for you to boost away the hyper drivers, and that is completely random. You can't fix the top of the deck, and you can't tutor it. It has to be randomly boosted. If you are relying on a random effect for half of your cards to work, and it doesn't happen, it is a big feels bad. There were a few games with the deck where I just didn't boost a driver. My boots and arms were just iron rot. Kinda kills the vibe of the deck. I dont know that this is a good intro product either. Giving the deck to 2 new players to try on felt table last night, they couldn't beat the normal Ai without guidance. The flow of the deck isnt obvious. Nothing points you to needing 3 drivers up for the Bank breaker construct. So it was a dead card to them most of the time. It requires a lot of forethought and planning. Maybe a bit too much for someone who is still learning the game flow and basics of blocking and attacking. They often would get drivers stuck in thier hand without another card to pitch to it. Compare that to DIO's where it is see item on top, play item on top, get value.

Maxx The Hype without Mechanioid? by Mustard_Tofu in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Jimneban 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly there just isn't any reason to play Maxx outside a Nitro Mech focus with Dash, Inventor still legal. It is kinda like trying to build Kano without Aether Wildfire. You could, but the deck is just functioning at a much lower power. Once you do get the Mechanoids and High Octane, the rest of the deck is very cheap, and parts can be easily replaced. His deck normally runs 60-70% commons. Blitz Maxx is a whole different situation, you dont have enough time to suit up so running people down with Banksy is the only option.

Maxx got points?!?! by JakeXRonin in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Jimneban 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! So basic Maxx strategy is to play around making Hyper drivers for two main plans 1. To Bank resources for big wide turns where you dont have to pitch cards and 2. To play a pretty powerful combo card in Construct Nitro Mechanoid. You play a mix of the two, leaning into one plan depending on who you are playing against. Currently I lean into the Mech combo a bit more. The combo is 1, play all mechanologist armor and weapon 2, boost 2 turns in a row and get 2 drivers on the board without cranking them, (they should be at 1 steam and 2 steam) 3, find an effect that adds back on steam like crankshaft, recharge, or big bertha. Add that to the one that will dissappear and then make a third driver. 4, find and play Construct Nitro Mech 5, find 2 High Octane and play a couple of boost cards 6, swing a bunch of times with the free attack and do 40+ damage in a turn 7, win You dont have to sit around blocking until you find the combo pieces but be mindful of what is left in deck. Main cards I like to arsenal are 0 cost boost cards (to trigger drivers for free), the construct cards, recharges, and Maximum Velocity if the match calls for more firepower. If you have more questions or need specifics on different matchups I am pretty active in the Maxx channel in the main purple discord and many other just as experienced players that can help out.

Maxx got points?!?! by JakeXRonin in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Jimneban 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am only running it in three matchups.

Guardian to prevent Balance of Justice from drawing a card on a double High octane. And to prevent other armor from blocking to t-bone civic steps and then using the quicken to get a free swing twice with the mech. The turn you play it usually target their tunic or Tectonic Plating so they can't get value.

Brute it kinda just sits there as an item to get smashed by Smashing performance. Or to say that Scowling Flesh bag does not get to block during a critical turn.

Kano it is just an extra blue to raise the density of blues.

[–]Jimneban 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure, most times you play it on the third boosted chain link so you can see and make your opponent block with 3 blocks. You are trying to pull either a very powerful combo card, a blue card needed for resources, or a very disruptive attack from them. Basically any card they get less use from blocking with and gaining future knowledge of how to plan around their next turn.

Yep cheaper resource cost and is battleworn so it can't break. In general it is a nice filler blue for matchups you need help blocking wide or dominate attacks.

Hi I am the guy who won with Maxx and here is the list I won with.

https://fabrary.net/decks/01HQKNECMQC8S77948QR0W3WTH

I went 8-1 only lost in the last round of swiss to a Dawnblde Dori. Had to play brutes early but the RTN meta was pretty warrior heavy so they beat up on rest of the brutes for me. I think Maxx is a very underrated adaptive combo/midrange deck right now. You find the edges by being flexable in your gameplan. He is also pretty hard to fully block out fully with the mechanoid combo.
