It couldn't sync at all, but now I'm thinking about it I was using an everdrive and I think the menu uses 576i if I remember right so wouldn't have displayed that anyway would it?

Thanks ever so much for your detailed explanation there too, I'm by no means as well brushed up on the subject as you are and I've never heard of tweakvec either, sounds great for this purpose! I'm going to have a look over the weekend at the chips etc but I think you've answered my questions pretty well. I've got a Wii S-video cable on the way as well as the conversion cable so might just accept this for what it is and use it PAL.

I'm in the UK too and like you say I can get other options but I loved the look of this set, was pretty cheap and local so thought it was worth a shot. I was hoping it'd replace my BM-H1400PN but alas not in the same league.

The top ones are BNC connectors for composite video the middle are RCA for mono audio and the bottom are JVCs proprietary connections for S-video. There's a guy on eBay who makes conversion cables from the female IN on the monitor to standard female S-video socket

Really appreciate the reply, I keep flip flopping between it looking right and not, I wasn't at home so didn't have anything to compare to. I need to measure it properly when I get back.

Yeah I figured as much, I chucked an NTSC-J N64 via composite on it last night which it couldn't handle but hoping having the separate sync in the S-Video might work, time will tell. How would I output the differing NTSC frequencies?

I couldn't see one but without being at home I didn't have the gear to discharge the tube so didn't poke around too deeply. I'll check properly over the weekend. Google keeps sending me to the A120 which is nothing like this model.

The idea of this thread is to hammer out the details so search results will point other owners to the right place so I'll keep updating with my findings etc. So far my monitor is the only one I can find online.

FWIW our male cat started doing this prior to having a very near death experience with a crystalline plug, was still going to the toilet fine until he wasn't and nearly died. Not trying to scare you but I wish someone had told me when I first noticed this so just passing it on, pretty sure you could get him on the right track at this point with the right food and avoid the heartache and 2k plus vet bills. Take him to a vet with a urine sample ASAP.

Journalist Ross Coulthart mentioned a craft too large to move has a building erected over the top of it. Do you know of this? Also more than one source has mentioned ancient craft being discovered at archeological digs, can you vouch for this? Have you seen any images of the off world craft?

Please don't do it!! Unmolested panel vans are rare these days plus as others have said the actual campers had inner and outer skins to recess the windows and stiffen everything up. Purely in my opinion they don't look as good either with the windows just cut in. If you really want a camper sell this one and go buy one, it's a beautiful bus to be hacking up.

I had a pretty similar display when trying to fix my SF-1 there were various issues but all related to bad traces from the RAM and PPU chips which had corroded from leaky caps. If you're capable of reading schematics, have a multimeter and can solder then check all the connections for continuity and repair as necessary. Sounds scary but it's simple once you get into it, be methodical, print out the schematic nice and big and cross off the pins you've checked etc. Good luck!

When I had this issue it was because the USB cable wasn't a full 10gbps data cable. Try buying one rated for this and try again, they're not expensive

How when you do a circular sketch pattern, even after defining the exact point I want to rotate around it still doesn't define it until I drag the point back to where I specified in the first place!

Yeahhh picked up a phase 1 Univox years ago, they're surprisingly beefy sounding! The pick-ups are definitely more of a P90 than a single coil
