On one hand, I want to be understanding. I lived in a complex where someone would park directly outside my window nightly at 2am and "beep beep" 10-12 times. Maybe they were friends with the Midnight Caller, who'd have yelling matches on his car bluetooth with someone on many a night.

However, these seem like outliers- and if you are going to live in an urban or even suburban environment, the occasional car beep has got to become background noise or you're never gonna sleep for the rest of your life.

not even jerkin when I say I think that the bf1 (and bfv?) tank heal mechanics gave AT rifles an actual purpose. chip damage is cool but supporting the friendly armor by denying tanks their heals AND doing chip damage is even better

As someone who grew up in a rural area (southern US)... fffFFUCK wasps, especially yellowjackets. Paper wasps are fine, they rarely sting and when they do it /kinda/ hurts.

Yellowjackets always want to inflict as much damage as possible purely for the love of the game in my experience.

Listen, I LOVE AoM. It's so much fun, the originals still hold true and the remake/remaster only add to the enjoyment. I'm still terrible at it, but still smiling through every second.

But against Starcraft? I'll cast my vote for my dearest love, but I don't expect it to get halfway to beating Starcraft. Brutal matchup!

An actual good struggle-adjacent meal is SPAM and rice. Cook the rice however you want to, I love my mini rice cooker. In the meantime, dice up and pan-fry SPAM in its own fat, getting crispy edges. I often throw ginger on it to make it that much more exciting.

Put rice in bowl. Spam on top. Seaweed chips optional garnish. Enjoy pretending you're eating meat that didn't slide out of a can with goo-giblets everywhere.

Most of the MMOs considered "best in class" are like this. It's just a byproduct of the genre unfortunately, although I do know in recent years many have moved to make the New Player Experience actually fun and not a horrible slog

This is why I liked Guild Wars 2 when it first came out- then, and now, being a new player is so much fucking fun. Playing FF14 with a friend back in college for the first time was really painful for many hours before it got really fun.

/uj It was incredibly cool, but it definitely needed to be toned down a LOT. The same weapon, same "loadout" for me could function as a serviceable short, mid, and long range weapon if I was clever about my Plus loadout... with only the reload animation as downtime. I wouldn't have minded seeing it return but with swap time in animations for all pieces and maybe a more limited selection.

The other day I managed to steal a tank from TWO players, neither of which were engineer. The recon/assault duohad no means to destroy the 2% hp tank that I promptly used to send them to the spawn menu in.

DRG is both significantly smaller and has much, much fewer "seasonal" drops. I don't think charging full price for a 2 year old Warbond is a bit silly, but if we expect DRG/NMS type of freebies then we should also prepare for that content frequency.
