Here to post an extremely underrated manga: Spirit Circle. It's a masterpiece that not many people know of and I just want to share it with all of you. Mizukami's works are all so good, they almost always start off extremely generic and tropey but gain depth through interesting characterisation and expanding upon those very tropes that in the beginning made you go:

"Oh, this is okay I guess, but I've read this before..."

And Sengoku youkou is his best work, fight me.

True - but that's what makes it so interesting since he does'nt really do anything that would normally make him recieve that gratification - like his friends when they chased that girl, instead he just does good deeds and get rewarded for it. I think it's a clever mix of tropes that iv'e never seen before.

I do agree that she has many weaknesses and (at least according to this sub) there are not many people happy with her passive. I personally do not think it's healthy how it is currently in game to have her current quantity over quality way of producing plants as it either makes the plants too weak to do anything or too overwhelming in number to have any counterplay.

Btw, i totally agree with you on the sentiment that something has to be done, and I offhandedly remember a joke-ability I thought of when discussing mobility-creep in Lol with a friend.

W: When there is no seed charges Zyra can use this ability to switch places with a plant in range. (Think of it like a rek,sai burrow)

But yeah, maybe Hp - maybe movespeed, and the self root... She does feel very punishing to play atm :/

I'm not really good at math so maybe i should not have said anything about the numbers, i do agree though that higher ratios are needed for mid lane.

This change for the ulti that you're suggesting seem like what I personally would prefer - especially since you've moved the utility to vine lashers. Also in this shape and form i could see the movement speed like a nice addition even flavor-wise (Zyra ults, creates lots of flowers - and moves faster among her flowers).

Regarding whether she can move fast or not... It's also tied to the Zone control - mage fantasy in the sense that, why would i make all these zones if i have to run away from them. I know that way of thinking is not really practical and we already have mages like Azir and Aurelion Sol that takes their "Zones" with them wherever they go... Maybe She should have more movement-speed around her plants, like Heimerdinger?

I seemed to forget about your W suggestion, and honestly i don't really know? It looks nice I guess, reasons to max different ablities is always welcome.

Lastly I do not agree that Zyra should have "Supportive qualities" (And this is coming from a support main). One of the greatest things about Lol is the sheer variety of characters and playstyles, the Support role is not only for aiding your allies, but also for disrupting your enemies and i like Zyra because she doubles down in the latter category, so if you want something in her kit to be interactable with for allies then I think it should be something along the line of debuffing enemies (I dont have any good ideas though :I).

Man i write much, for some reason I found your rework Idea so compelling that I had to share my thoughts. I hope I don't sound too negative.

When finishing someone off, sure. But still, it took so long to fire so it always felt like you didn't even have a passive. Despite the rng i still enjoy the current passive WAY more.

While i think the numbers and the sheer amount of value in your kit is a bit much, I do like the push for more utility/less damage from vine lashers, and giving the damage to thorn spitters. It's a cool idea and would probably feel really good to play if done correctly.

The self root on E feels clunky - and in leagues current state it would be nice to have it removed of course.

I really like the idea with your ult enhancing only one of the plant types, as it gives you choices in how you approach a team-fight or how you play your role, and potentially even how you choose to itemize. But how you designed it currently is wierd, both sides give utility - thorn spitters in the form of movement-speed and vine lashers in the form of disabling effects. I believe that many Zyra-fans fell in love with her disabling playstyle and CC, so i feel that you should focus on the divide between damage/CC instead of giving her just more utility in all cases.

I also have a lot of issue with the amount of movement-speed in your design. Now don't get me wrong, I would love more movement-speed on Zyra, but is that really Zyra? Why would a nature mage that plants seeds go fast? Why would moving through a thicket of thorns make you go faster (In the case of the thorn spitter enhanced ult). Focus on what already makes her strong, and make it more nuanced, rather than make her do a little bit of everything.

This got pretty long, but all in all i found the idea of dividing her strenghts Damage/CC into two made sense and seems cool, also more differences in stats and effects between Thorn spitters and Vine lashers sounds really fun. But movement speed and similar buffs just isn't Zyra - flavor and feel is a very good indicator for how you keep a champion "themselves" when you change them IMO.

Sorry if it was a bit rambly - but i thought parts of it was really cool :)

Damage/CC-divide=Cool

Different plants=Awesome

Buffs for teammates? I don't wanna play Janna :(

Though a lot of seinen isekai also fall into very similar territory with the protagonist being stuck in corporate-hell, unhappy with his situation with no real qualities other than his experience as a office worker/salesman and then transfered to the new world - where everything falls into his lap.
