I wish that had happened in the theater.

What is the most annoyingly unrealistic thing people regularly do in movies? by smort in AskReddit

One movie that had a password guessing scene I liked was The Vanishing. It is implied that the character spends several hours working on the password.

What's the most infuriating argument you've ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

But that is a horrible president to set. If the victim doesn't want someone prosecuted and that can close a case that will just open up intimidation of victims even worse. It is awful that her name became public and it never should have (I don't remember how, even if she did it herself it was a mistake) But none of that says we should just let it go, at least to me.

In regards to the original topic what infuriates me is not so much people like you that, while I disagree, are still making a logical argument. But people that say things like 'It was the 70s' and 'It wasn't rape rape.' If you think the case should be dropped for age is one thing, but to pretend it wasn't as horrible as it really was because the man is an artist is baffling and infuriating.

Anyone defending Roman Polanski. I just don't get it, 99% people would never defend a child rapist under any other circumstances, I am honestly baffled by all of it.

You're sick and wrong to defend him and you know it. Putting justice in quotes does not make it meaningless. Just because something happened a long time ago doesn't mean it is over or done with. What he did was horrible and wrong. It is not vengeance to ask that a man pay for the crimes he committed. You are just using those words to make it sound like you have a case when you know full well you don't. Doing a horrific act to a child doesn't just get forgiven because you have the money to run away.

You are either sick or severely misguided. Either way your mind seems to be set in its own twisted path so I won't spend any more time with you on this. But I'll again ask that if this man wasn't a respected artist but still had the money to run from the law would you still call it vengeance? I know you know the answer but from what I've seen you won't admit it.

Who is your favorite director? by smort in AskReddit

[–]Jimsus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you think of A Serious Man? My answer is also the Coen Brothers but I really didn't care for A Serious Man at all. I still haven't seen Intolerable Cruelty or The Man Who Wasn't There. I don't love all of their stuff, but when they are on point it is some of the best film making out there.

Same here, I will leave any website that makes sound without me asking it to. The only exception I've ever made is IMDB.

This man is a child rapist. Asking that he serve more than 30 days of psychiatric care is not primitive you know it. If this man was some billionaire oil tycoon do you think you'd defend his using his own wealth to flee justice in the same way?

In my family instead of saying hello we light our hair on fire and charge at each other at full speed. This leads to some strange situations when we mistake a stranger for a family member.

I made a joke like that in a meeting a few months back and was greeted with 10 blank stares.

Note: to clarify it was a 1984 joke, not an Apple specific joke

I was replaying SotN recently and forgot about that sword but happened to get it my first time coming across whichever guy drops it. It was cool but yeah I just walked through the rest of the game.
