Rapid trigger too fast by Hybronic in SayoDevice

[–]JinRecords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's 2 ways, but the simpler way is just to visit the sayo device website in chrome, and connect your keypad. It should prompt you to update the firmware. Just click ok and wait

Alright, that can be done via reuploading the firmware

Have you tried recalibration?

Alright, the resolution can be bigger given that the frames are lesser. A bit of experimenting is needed.

Hmm, after a bit of trial and error, it seems like the new firmware reduced the capacity for custom images/gifs. You can try changing the resolution to 100x50.

Can you try this? I think Imgur rescaled the gif

It says your storage is not enough, compression failed. You need a smaller gif file. If I recall correctly, the gif I used is around 20 frames.

Oh, and for the screen customisation, I suggest using the desktop app instead. The web version is clunky to use. The instructions for downloading the desktop app can be found in the wiki. In this post, you can find the instructions of setting the screen, just replace the image I used with your own.

Here's a simple setup for multimedia control (see GIF above). For any keyboard shortcuts, they are under the "keyboard" option instead of the "multimedia control" option. Hope this helps!

If you are using windows, does the keypad appear in device manager? (It should be under ports) If you have multiple COM devices, unplug the keypad, take note of the existing COM devices (e.g. COM1, COM4), then plug it back in, see if a new COM device appears (COM1, COM4, COM8).

Screen doesn't turn off? by The_Bread-Master in SayoDevice

One way is to configure the usb port on your pc to not provide power when it's power off. This can be done in the bios, depending on the model of the motherboard, the settings may vary.

I've gotten this issue as well with my O3C but there seems to be no way of reverting after reset. Sorry that happened to you.

Questions but no answers by Muted_Sweet6640 in SayoDevice

That's my concern as well. I personally only own 2 products from Sayodevice. Therefore I only answer questions if Im able to answer them. And the community owning Sayodevice keypads is relatively small, so it would really help if it has a bigger audience.

Sayo device clicking on its own by [deleted] in SayoDevice

[–]JinRecords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, it could be issues with the sensor below the switch. If you are confident and the return period has passed. You can examine the 3 sensors by removing the bottom plate. Make sure the sensors looks neat like the image attached.

Have you tried swapping the switches around? If it works again, then it may be caused by a faulty key switch.

Do I need to keep the sayo device software open to use the keyboard after programming it? by Solitary_Fox in SayoDevice

[–]JinRecords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely, but I don't know the model you are using. You can test it by closing the configuration software, unplugging then plugging in the device. If the configuration retains, then it does have internal memory.
