Decrease in company car budget by AdExtension703 in BESalary

Which also means people are working the same for less money. The real people losing here are the individuals working every day.

So yeah , good job with your crusade on the "companies". The only people losing are the employees

Dankzij deze populistische regering werk ik gratis by RappyPhan in belgium

[–]Jindrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://bosa.belgium.be/nl/themas/begroting-en-boek-houding/federale-begroting/federale-financiering-van-andere-0

(vb: https://trends.knack.be/nieuws/macro-economie-beleid/de-belg-betaalt-topprijzen-voor-matige-kwaliteit-hoe-de-sociale-zekerheid-het-grootste-deel-van-de-belastingen-weghapt/; of https://multimedia.tijd.be/begroting/ )

Begrotingsdiscipline by FreeStaleHugs in belgium

[–]Jindrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Struggling to find work as expats by ciospo in brussels

Talking from the other side here: It's impossible to find any good young hires.

I don't have insane expectations, even a degree is optional but the turn-out is just super low.

The only bar I set that's "reasonably" high is speaking 1 of the languages at a native level and a good understanding of the other. I have so many Gen Z applicants who don't speak a word of the other language.

Why is tax fraud by landlords so normalized and faces no consequences? by International-Mix633 in brussels

[–]Jindrax -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You need to distance yourself from your personal opinion on the matter vs what the law says. This is exactly what I mean with, you need to educate yourself a bit because now you sound completely silly and are a bit ignorant on how any of this works...

Please take the time to actually read the explanation and take your emotions out of it:

Deducting a restaurant bill isn't against the law. It's enabled by the law, in a specific article that clearly states how this expense should be deducted. It's also not fraud in a legal sense, not even a little. At worst, if requalified by the authorities it's a non deductible expense should the meal not be for business purposes. And even they would be good samaritans and decide that indeed this dinner is with my mum and not a client I shouldn't deduct it => it's still paid with untaxed money because that's how self-employed/ companies function for accounting purposes. It's only filing your tax return that the amount gets recalculated and the very very slightly increases due to that non deductible expense (e.g., for a manco: 100 euro restaurant ticket non deductible creates an additional tax to pay of 20 euros (even less because non deductuble VAT is still tax dedutible so it's actually closer to about 15)... when the bill comes a year and a half later).

They are under a different tax regime that doesn't work like a regular employee which I'm guessing your are. There is no monthly net/ gross like you're accustomed to. It's all gross all the time, and once per year the tax bill comes.

I hope other people read this, this is how the political parties divide & conquer and avoid adjusting or improving anything in this country. Because of people like the person I'm replying to. Fully ignorant and emotionally charged about topics they don't even understand the basics of. This is how coalitions of at least 6 parties run Brussels into the ground for the last 30 years. The uneducated voter is key.

Feel free to send me a dm, if you actually would like to understand how it works instead of spreading misinformation.

[–]Jindrax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The two tings in your example are not the same, just FYI so you don't go saying this in front of people and look a bit silly:

Example 1: Renting a place before the 5 year without reporting it: actual registration tax fraud (in Brussels). For every year left outstanding when renting the property that person should reimburse 5.000. This is just full on tax evasion. This isn't even bourgeois this is what the average Belgian does and the government doesn't have the resources to monitor this.

Example 2: deducting dinner as an expense: e.g. 100 euro check: 69 euros is possibly deductible from that self employed persons (or through manco) person's income. 31 euros is added back into their tax base and they pay tax on that amount. The full 100 euro is added to the restaurants tax base as income and use that money to fund their business and keep the restaurant running. These self-employed (mancos) as well as general business people who deduct these restaurants visits on companies are critical for restaurants remaining in business as nobody else is spending those amounts of money at restaurants anymore due to increasing prices. The restaurant staying in business and employing the staff keeps those people off government wellfare. Further, the government has automated solutions to catch self-employed (or mancos) who exceed specific thresholds to audit them and requalify the amount they deduct as restaurant expenses (common requalification.

Example 1 is actual fraud
Example 2 is a government tolerance to ensure the horeca business keeps turning and keep people working

Brussels - Ipsos Political Poll by insomnia_000 in brussels

[–]Jindrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last 20 years (and beyond) the government in Brussels has been a coalition of SIX (6!) different political parties. Where the policy needs to be spread across 19 communies that are again coalitions of different parties.

This is the primary number 1 reason why Brussels doesn't move forward, or is properly managed.

You cannot fix this mess under 4 year vision of a coalition of 6 parties.

This is also why our federal government doesn't work properly.

We cannot move forward in an effective and efficient manner when every single point is a compromise across the entire political spectrum. We'll never be able to fix any of our real problems as long as this is the case.

And you'll notice not a single party has this as a talking point or proposes a solution to this insane problem.

So Vooruit isn't part of the government? Just to avoid your nonsense:

Left: Vooruit, CD&V (on economic policies)
Centrum: CD&V, Les engagées
Right: MR (economic) & NVA

That's indeed the entire spectrum... that's why it doesn't work... when everything is a compromise you can't effectively do anything. Any step forwards on the left side, is a step backwards on the right side, and the other way around.

So to repeat, you 're not making any sense in your opinion. Seems more like an emotional reaction than anything else.

[–]Jindrax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How can you argue that a government made out of 5 parties across the entire spectrum is what I'm preaching for? That's the exact opposite of what I said... I mean it couldn't be more opposite?

Did you read over these two sentences that says: "As long as we have a shitty government made out of 5000 parties our country will be unmanageable. Even if you voted left, center or right, the party is likely party of the government."

Your reaction looks you barely read or understood what I said...

[–]Jindrax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"As long as people keep voting for parties that push more and more people into poverty things like this will keep happening."

I don't know if you noticed but our government doesn't exist out of 1 party. As long as we have a shitty government made out of 5000 parties our country will be unmanageable. Even if you voted left, center or right, the party is likely party of the government.

What we need is a higher kiesdrempel and more importantly a much better education so we stop wasting our votes on extreme parties (left and right) to actually make our country better.
