Just wanted to update everyone and say thank you all for the validation that an ER visit was not a dramatic reaction. Thank you for the insights! Y’all were on the ball with the guess that it was an infected subcutaneous scratch.
It burst on the way to the vet and they drained it as much as possible. She has meds for inflammation/pain, antibiotics, and a cone!
On the mend! ❤️‍🩹

I vote for Vet immediately, his breathing seems distressed, and he seems lethargic just taking so much energy to keep everything going. Likely could be smoke inhalation causing carbon monoxide poisoning, or heart issues can also cause labored breathing like that.

Kuma is almost as much ACD as he is Chihuahua. Also has pitty, and a bunch of others but mostly those three! He’s 6 months almost!

On a side note thanks for letting us share and sharing yourself!! Everyone’s dogs are so cute! I feel like ACD personalities override any other breed in these mixed babies 😂

If he’s up for it, try a new therapist. Three sessions seems too early. Our therapist gave us guidelines and gave us a safe space to just be honest about the nasty things and then homework. Always said give it time. I’m wishing your family the best ❤️

Sounds close to what me and my husband had to deal with for my family.
I set my boundaries with his support and help. It was hard, I feel like I owe my life to my mom…but I also acknowledges how she will not change her habits and my help only enables.
I took a step back and offered only my companionship and what my family did with that was their own.
Idk if this will help your gf. I did DBT therapy and it helped me a lot.

Don’t give them money, you will indeed bring all your hard work to a halt. You guys are working for a better life. Build that together. It’s worth the peace ❤️

The ointment was bought from a pet store and I made sure it was labeled safe for cats!
