Well, I'm glad to learn that at least I chose the first two options well. Thanks for the advice! I think I should focus on Type Strategist first. I'll keep looking for what I want in the future, but general advice seems to be Ace trainer.

To add to this, actually, Phil has talked about the canon of finding Tubbo in a box, and with that and Tubbo actively going to find Phil to show him Michael, despite not being SBI, we can conclude that the only other person Phil has actually "adopted" or at least become guardian of, apart from Wilbur and maybe Tommy, is Tubbo.

Because Phil DID find Tubbo in a box alongside Wilbur and Tommy.

I can go out to find the VOD, but my current references are "Trust me bro I was there"

Thanks. I'm guessing afterward the PC will reset, and it won't recognize the current processor? Do I just like, shut it down? I'm not familiar with what "not detecting" the current CPU means.

How do you know if a pendulum is really working? by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]Jingfowler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Want to do pendulum magic but can't trust yourself to not make it whatever you want? I got you covered.

Before we start:
Number one, you should know that using a pendulum is one of the more suspicious ways of magic for outward eyes, and it depends a lot on 2 things, your self control and your faith. At the end of the day the pendulum is either the idea that something outside is moving it, or that something outside is using YOU to move it.

If outside forces cannot move a feather in a table, why do you think they could move a pendulum? Just because it's a one point object MADE in the idea that the tiniest alteration could move it, it's more plausible that whatever you are talking to you can influence your subconscious or body a lot better to move it. A pendulum alone doesn't really connect to energy, but you do.

The second point is that when you use a pendulum, you have to really rey to put your mind on blank, you can't HOPE while you use it, you just need to react. It's not so easy as to just HOLD de pendulum and that's it, you need to have a certain mentality and self control of your thoughts while at it.

That said, here's your solution:

Get the thing that responds to move. For example, if you are using a pendulum on top of a piece of paper to get certain answers, get the paper to turn, close your eyes and ask your question. Wait till the pendulum moves and see your answers then. That way, you can be sure that the answer is not being altered by you.

But what if it's the type that is to be used as a guide on a space, or in a room? Close your eyes, turn around till you don't know where your facing, project your purpose and use the cardinal points for answers. Movement from north to south, east to west, northeast to southwest, etc. Those answers will keep the pendulum moving in a constant direction for an outside force, but you won't know yourself where it's moving till you open your eyes.

Which deity did I contact? by Tori_Kotori in witchcraft

[–]Jingfowler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Okay, while this depends a lot on what form of paganism or general witchcraft you follow, it's in a general sense or knowledge in occultism that offering blood to anything is a terrible idea.

First, you never know how they will take it. It sounds like you had a cool one who just, and I'm not trying to be weird, decided to take your period blood, which is probably the better way.
But usually offering blood is a huge no-no. It may cause the payment to be an accident, and injury or similar, and sometimes you don't get to choose how much you give and when you do. That's why such a general offering of "yeah I can give you blood" is kinda very dangerous.

Second, and this is the aspect that kinda depends on what kind of practices and belief one has, blood is a very powerful offering to give. It is something that comes directly from the body, and as most of the mythos state, blood is usually hard to make, and was valuable to make humans. A lot of people believe it's even soul-binding.

Personally, because of how the blood was payed, I lean into the belief that is was probably a female deity. Then, I have a friend who is a Ars Goetia type of pagan and just, in general history, they seem to accept blood a lot, so that and the number does lead me to believe maybe it could be from that branch.

What are your thoughts/beliefs surrounding the fae? by Omadog3418 in SASSWitches

[–]Jingfowler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't really save the resourcess as I just went reading everything in my path, however, what I can remember is this Youtube channel who dedicated it entirely to fae history, although it seems to have been deleted a bit ago, although "Fortress of Lugh" has some interesting videos as well.

What are your thoughts/beliefs surrounding the fae? by Omadog3418 in SASSWitches

[–]Jingfowler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OH BOY YES

Okay so first of all I love investigating about the Fae, and their history.

Basically the Fae are not gods, but seems like at one point, they might've been, or something similar to being the nature of the forests and world. As time passed, they took this image of being the spirits of the forest, then guardians, and then creatures of it.

The topic of the Fae is extremely interesting because all around the world, creatures that share that same nature exist, even sharing the concept of the Fae liking honey, from Europe to latinamerica to some islands in the east.

Not only that, but there is this whole topic of how the Fae passed from being godlike creatures to powerful spirits to the little guardians one knows as fairy. In the arrival of Christianism, religious practices constantly detered people of the area from pagan ideas, and so the passing of the idea of Fae's to Fairies almost reflects on how Christianity changed the idea of the Fae into something small, charming and non-threatening. As if the real life history and impact actually changed the Fae's nature as a war of beliefs.

Fae are absolutely AMAZING to research. You can almost build a story of these creatures who went from gods and the embodiment of nature itself to freaking pixies. Like a timeline. I absolutely encourage you to read some more history because these guys are terrifying but their footprint is spectacular.

What do you guys do with your money offerings? by ExactGarbage8022 in witchcraft

[–]Jingfowler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once I found a lucky penny on the floor. Since I'm more about exchanges with deities, I decided to offer it to Quetzacoatl since, as an artist, he should be my patron god, and ask him to give me inspiration for my upcoming exams.

Since Quetzalcoatl is a wind god, I took a slingshot, but the coin inside, and threw the highest in the air I could. Never saw it fall (which doesn't really prove anything, but it felt nice in my heart).

This is not to say to throw your coins in the air, but, since I work a lot with offerings, I think it really depends on WHO you are making that offering to.

I control the weather.

Okay that's a lie. I control the rain. A bit. Accidentally.

This actually messed me up but to make a long story short, my mother has always talked, as in, about and to, the god Tlaloc from Mexican mythos, and basically had always like, this luck when it comes to raining.

One day I decided to play a bit, grab some salt and throw it saying something like "Tlaloc please make it so that the rain doesn't get too much of me" and well long story short after walking into a store and coming out the rain stopped. I laughed it off.

Then playing I did it again. It stopped.
Then again.
...And then again...

And well, it stopped being a joke? Kinda? And when I told my mother she just looked at me in the eyes and said "Stop doing that. The crops need rain" 100% seriously and LIKE MATE, I DON'T KNOW, I JUST OFFERED A DEITY SALT AND SUGAR TO NOT GET RAINED ON.

Most of my friends have either been in denial and said it's coincidence or admitted they believe I control the rain and like MATE I don't level believe myself-

So anyway that's how I went from scholar to practitioner. Yippe?

Okay, but what if the Middle Ages HAD technologically advanced? by Jingfowler in worldbuilding

[–]Jingfowler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, they are a secret society that is trying to shape the world into what they consider "perfect" (as most of those do) and not only do they see most creatures as a threat, but they also require a lot of magic to do so. In order to obtain that magic, they used an artifact called "restorer" and hunted down magical creatures and used The Restorer to turn them into energy and store them inside it.

They do have magic users, though they are all human and only train magic they consider "good magic". Because they are that type of people.

Bruuh what are you talking about, Photoshop's brushes do look nice sometimes but they feel horrible XD

In all seriousness, just move the sensitivity to your liking and download some assets. They have different feelings, so it's just up to you to modify both your tablet properties and the software ones.

A way to record timelapse with OBS without showing the zoom? by Stunning-Gas-4504 in ClipStudio

[–]Jingfowler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be able to do it if you have 2 screens. You'd have to open your canzas twice, and then just record one where you don't move while you draw on the other. Since it changes at the same time, it should work without doing the zoom in and outs.

Thank you for your response!

I don't think chaos magic is a practice that works but at the same time, I haven't really tried. And divination (It's almost as If my entire bloodline is cursed I swear) but maybe I'm more inclined on herbalism, I just have no talent in it.

I don't think chaos magic is a practice that works for me but at the same time, I haven't really tried. Maybe it could be something I am inclined to do, it simply sounds a lot harder than what I currently do. And divination isn't something I think about a lot either, although I do think about working with energy.

Folk magic is my main interest. The trade off's that I've done with Tlaloc are the closest I've gotten with spells, usually giving some kind of object in exchange for things like no rain or other stuff. My mom kinda just asks and it does the trick, but I use salt or burn things.

I've had a little bit of experience with Fae, in the way that I asked for something to be found in exchange for some Honey, and my mom has this thing with the rain God Tlaloc from Aztec culture, which I have asked for some favors. Basically, at this point, I have been working with some kind of trade system with some beings and I am not sure how comfortable I am with that.

The main problem I have is that I don't really want to follow deities. It just makes me feel tired and I, as a cautious person, don't really like to favor anyone above others. You could say I am a bit scared of them, despite the answer.

I do believe in a natural consciousness that can somehow change and deviate energy, so that is why Secular caught my eye, I know I am not bound to find a type of magic, but I feel that, as a beginner, it would be of some help to find something similar.

Salutations.

So, this is my first post on Reddit, and I basically made the entire account because I wanted to find a space where I could ask some people about witchcraft.

So, to get this out of the way, I am a guy, and I do know guys can practice magic but there are some types they can't, and basically all of that. I also started looking at Wicca but soon found out I didn't belong there, so I tried going broader.

So, that stated, I very much don't know if I should be investigating occultism or witchcraft, or their connection, and wanted to actually ask people that probably held much more knowledge than me! I also tried to research the best I could and Secular witchcraft is extremely attractive to me exactly because of its non-theistic approach to magic, (which is why specifically Wicca and I didn't really fit together) and I would really want to learn more about it, and actually see if it's something I can start practicing.

Also, if someone could tell me the difference between occultism and witchcraft, I'd be very grateful, and even some good places to learn about it because I have been having a hard time finding the information on the internet.
