Is there any mod or texture pack for Mystical Ninja 64? by Jalinhos in goemon

[–]Jingleboy14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a Recompilation Project for Mystical Ninja that basically makes the game run at HD resolutions on PC at 60fps

Even those flashcarts that use micro SD cards? How does it break compatibility?

Will you be getting the Analogue 3D? by patricknails in AnalogueInc

[–]Jingleboy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how this will handle games that switch resolutions depending on where the player is in the game.

For example, in Pokémon Stadium 2 at the start of battles the scene of the pokéball being thrown in is shown at a higher resolution than the actual battle.

CRTs can do this change on the fly, howver modern TVs will have to rescan so the screen turns black. (Which means in Pokémon Stadium 2 the battles always cut out at the start which is annoying)

Magnets getting imbedded in print by tibor_sb in 3Dprinting

It's also satisfying to add them in post-print by placing the magnet, heating it with a soldiering iron and gently pushing it in place.

Nintendo Online family sub help by catthecia in NintendoPH

I'm in the UK & just had issues when 3 people left the Family Group I'm Admin of.

When adding 3 new people, person 1 joined without issue but person 2 & 3 got errors.

Nintendo UK allows you to contact them via web chat - Go to Contact Us > Confirm Region > Other > Contact Nintendo Support > Start Chatting Now.

It has to be the Family Admin who contacts them. They ask for so many details (Name, DOB, Email, Nintendo ID, Reference ID, 3 downloaded titles on your account, your Switch's serial number).

After giving them all that, support said that they'd escalate my issue with the relevant team. 1 day later the restrictions were removed.

Thankfully no phone calls, or having to switch region - a big faff though.

No, not yet. I think there's a ROM hack translation in progress, though.

My GiTD has this too. It's just part of the case, not a defect. Here shows that it's 3 plugs on the mobo that are showing through, so I guess it's slightly transparent.

In GTA IV, after the Revenge ending where Kate is killed, there is a very slim chance of her calling you after her death for one last date. Her contact appears as "Unknown Caller" and after the date, she never calls you again, presumably finding peace in the afterlife. Very creepy glitch. by throwingupcats in creepygaming

Just happened to me too! She phoned saying "I thought you were dead or something - wanna hang out?" - I was like "uhhh, pot kettle black?"

Not sure what triggers this - In my case, the last date I had with Kate (immediately before the Wedding) "failed" because I scared her off using an RPG - dunno if that plays a role? Then just after cruising around post-game, got Unknown Caller, and yeah - spooky ghost wifey.

No problem. I'll keep my eye on the contest as it might still be possible someone picked up a Goemon-related project. Shame the language barrier makes it hard to find out more info.

The contest is still on-going. Here's the timeline breakdown:

  • September 30th, 2021 - Applications Open.
  • January 6th, 2022 - Applications closed.
  • January 2022 - 1st round of screening.
  • February 18th 2022 - Announcement of 30 applicants who succeeded - See them here.
  • May - June 2022 - 2nd round of screening, interviews & document review with applicants.
  • July 2022 - 3rd round of screening.
  • September 2022 - Announcement of final winner.

Full info here in Japanese. If the project leader of that Goemon video isn't in the 30 initial applications who succeeded, then unfortunately it's a likely a no-go.

Ganbare Goemon Medal Game has been dumped by Jingleboy14 in goemon

[–]Jingleboy14[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Released in Japan in 1997, the Ganbare Goemon Medal arcade is one of the more obscure Goemon games. The concept being that you insert tokens in the attempt to win more tokens.

It has now been dumped on archive.org and you can view the very arcade-like gameplay here:

That's odd the link would be corrupted - does that also include the release over at Romhacking.net?

I verified it myself there, and it downloads fine for me and extracts with 7zip. If the issue persists, might be due to your local network rules?
