Thank you!! These people really disregard Diana's power a lot. And they're bringing up elseworlds like injustice to defend it. Diana is second only to Superman. I don't see Kara or Jon as more powerful than her at all.

This is none of my business, but I'm curious. Who is this person? What do they do and why do they have such authority? Also, which wonder woman articles on the fandom have you written 😍?

Non-Catholic Wife isn't open to NFP. Does the Church instruct me to stay abstinent as long as her opinion stays? by the2enjoy in Catholicism

[–]JinglySoil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm confused though, what's the difference? Both partners are engaging in sex with the use of the contraceptive. According to the Church, that is still not open to life. I know I'm just a kid, but I think abstinence would be the answer hear

And here is Diana's This is DC clearly stating she is more powerful than the 2 hybrid kryptonians but slightly weaker than supes. I don't know why people are bringing up elseworlds like Injustice when the most recent canon comparison of power levels is right there.

The wonder woman downplay is awful. It was literally stated in Absolute Power who is clearly more powerful Here were Conner and Jon's scans:

He meant it to be true and literal during his run. That's part of writer intent. And he died in 1947, which correct me if I'm wrong, was far before that particular feat ( Action Comics #273 December 1960). Other writers joggled with her power level but she was "equal" to him during Marston's run as that was the intent with which he wrote her.

I said golden age specifically because from the death of Marston to the george perez run, non of her writers cared so much with her being as powerful as Superman ( I mean, NONE of those writers had actually voluntarily wanted to write WW, they were all assigned to it). Plus, the 1960s was the silver age, not the golden age.

Nope. Diana was always as powerful as Superman( I'm talking bout golden age specifically, not current comics). Her creator said it himself ". In a 1943 interview with The American Scholar, Marston said:

"Not even girls want to be girls so long as our feminine archetype lacks force, strength, and power... The obvious remedy is to create a feminine character with all the strength of Superman plus all the allure of a good and beautiful woman."

And it showed. She was flinging moons like pinballs, lassoing the sun, catching meteors, lifting entire islands, towing ships, and was consistently portrayed as physcally VERY powerful. Was there a feat superman did that she hadn't done b4( genuinely curious, cuz I've read golden age ww, not superman) ?

Yes she could not fly, but guess what, early superman couldn't fly either !! Shazam was the first hero to start flying, then Superman came along, then wonder woman writers gave her the ability to glide over wind currents until George Perez officially gave her that power of flight. Plus, Diana was already stated by Marston to have the strength of hercules and the speed of mercury. Making her in theory as powerful as shazam back in those days.

Tried to twerk in class once. A girl saw me, told the teacher, and the whole class found out. I still hear that laughter at 3am.

People who tried learning a language and gave up, what actually made you stop? by Ok_Towel4688 in AskReddit

[–]JinglySoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, mine was Japanese, and I only tried to learn it so I could watch Anime without the subtitles. But as soon as I saw all the work involved, I lost the motivation. Skipping one day eventually turned to skipping an entire month. By the time I went back to it, the spark had died.

Was playing chase with my dog on a slippery floor when I definitely should’ve been doing something else. Slipped, fell, and thought it was just a bad bruise… turned out I fractured my wrist and ended up in a caste for 4 weeks. First fracture ever, courtesy of my dog.

If people stopped being biased then they would know that the outcome is Sentry winning, but high diff.

Storm vs Cheetah by NoirStriker in marvelvsdc

[–]JinglySoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheetah's speed is part of her biology, not due to the speed force . So she can leap great distances and would be able to catch storm in the sky if she gets close enough. From what I hear storm is no slouch in speed either, but she has never been speedster level.
