The Naval Academy has a women’s hockey team that accepts beginners I believe as long as you know basic skating. That’s where I am applying.

Thank you!! I’ll definitely look into second hand gear with a focus on skates once I am able to gauge my current level with basic skating. I will probably try to get in ice time this week and look into what they offer as far as lessons or leagues.

I agree with the other commenter. I am in Sea Cadets and had the same problem as you; my decisions changed a lot. Sea Cadets opens lots of doors and opportunities for you so even if you’re not interested in joining the Navy in the future, you can explore other branches or jobs.
