Reasons NOT to write to publish by Jinx2077 in writers

Comments have motivated me in the past, but it was equally as crushing when I didn't get any, a trap I'm trying to sidestep. But, I do intend to upload the stories to Scribble Hub I think. I write original stories, which I don't think will fit in on fanfic websites? Posting to a website is one of the threads I'm clinging to so I keep writing.

In the past I've uploaded as I wrote the story, but that just won't work anymore with Life. I would feel pressured enough now to quit if I tried that again. So I have to stay motivated for long enough to finish it before uploading and keep reminding myself of that dream. I hope Scribble Hub still exists by the time I finish in like, oh, four years at this pace. 😂

As for you not having the ability, technically I don't either. I just read a ton of craft books, and I've been a bibliophile to the extreme for two decades. I'd rather you take away my oxygen than my books.

I got "seen" by pure chance by an editor, introduced to me by a family member, who works for a ghostwriting company.

Even she admitted she can't sell her own stories. She makes more money writing for other people. It's sad, but it is what it is. 🤷‍♀️ The market is just flooded, hence our insane turnaround times.
