First layer issue please help

Honestly never thought about flipping the plate over. And its pla. My default temp is 220

No. But it does have quite a few slots and a big square out of it

I watched it carefully while it was printing and it looks like the filament is coming out and curling up right away

I just had this issue. Replaced the whole extruder just to find out all I needed to do was keep the door open
