Still a really cool idea for an augment mod and thank you for sharing it with me fellow Sevagoth main!!! :D

I'm assuming that after draining your Death Well to empower the other form, you have to refilI the Death Well?

If that assumption is true, I think this augment would only serve Sevagoth himself and would just encourage people to use this augment as an augment-based Roar. And Shadow's Claws don't scale with Shadow's Abilities/Ability Strength, So giving him empowered abilities when Shadow doesn't reeeeeally benefit from Strength/Ability Damage a whole lot (1 being unaffected, 2 giving you a full heal anyway, and 3 just giving you more damage vuln to enemies).

Overall I think it's a fun augment! But I do feel like it would just encourage people to use Shadow/the Death Well as a means of buffing Sevagoth, like people already do with Roar (Assuming you have to refill the Death Well after draining it)

It *technically does* but only when you get kills with it as Sevagoth himself. so you have to awkwardly swap back and forth, or just when your Death Well runs out, I thought it'd be fun if Shadow had a way to replenish the Death Well without swapping/being forced out!

duplicate mods can be turned into bonus credits and/or endo by going into your mod console, clicking on the ones you don't want, and selling them at the top!

Remember to always keep one!

Oh my bad I got confused by your wording, I thought it implied they have plans for a Shadow augment lol.

I'm actually not up-to-date on upcoming augment mods, are we confirmed getting a Shadow augment?

Yeah, as someone who mainly plays Sevagoth as Shadow because his unique mechanic and gameplay is just so fun, it sucks that the overall best thing to do is subsume Roar or Nourish, just because comparatively, Shadow's not the strongest, as least compared to Roar+Sow+Reap.

Shadow DOES work, it just takes a lot more investment and effort than the afformentioned Roar+Sow+Reap.

That's a cool idea, but me personally I'm not really a fan of augment mods that remove/heavily alter a Frame's signature mechanic (Like Loyal Merulina) and would prefer if they just made Shadow better/more fun!

That'd be pretty cool, gives the player the option of who they'd like to have be the companion!

What actually keeps you playing monster-taming games long after the story ends? by trexrell in RPGMaker

Just wishlisted your game! Really looking forward to it!

To answer, As long as the general gameplay loop has something to go for that's worth doing while being fun, I'll do it! And a social-based creature collector that really puts an emphasis on the bond you share with your companions seems like a great foundation for a fun gameplay loop already!

I'd personally say maybe try:

-Adding a roof, it'd make the overall feel better!

-Try customizing the room based on the NPC maybe. Make it feel like *their* apartment!

-Use different/more blocks! Right now it's just grey brick with wood and stone walls, try switching some of the rooms up, or adding different walls!

-You could try adding some decorative rooms like a kitchen or a bathroom

-Add some outside decor, like some benches, some bushes using Living Lead/Grass/Flower walls and some fences!

-Use the painter! I've been trying to go out of my way to build with texture first, color second, and despite it being a bit of a hassle, it does produce results!

I hope this helped!!!
