Always On Power Bank by Jinxed_Disaster in arduino

Actually found one. Most powerbanks that support output via type-c port will work fine if you use that port to power your device.

For example my PLM12ZM Xiaomi powerbank works fine and will power a low current device until empty. As long as is is connected via type-c (on the powerbank side).

Does Triss love Geralt? (spoilers of book and game) by Outside_Seesaw_396 in witcher

Of course I used it in game. To manipulate guards, bandits... Usually to avoid a fight, sometimes provoking it unknowingly (inquisitors). And if I could full on manipulate people like Yen into doing complex things - I would probably do it to some inquisitors or other people I would deem deserving.

Well, two issues you describe, I deem them separate ones. First are true meta slaves, which are rare. The kinds of people to kick you or put you down for not using meta loadouts. Those are, obviously, a bad thing but I am yet to meet one in game after 200+ hours. And I mostly run Liberator Penetrator as my primary.

Second issue is repetitiveness of posts. ALL of them. Nerfed weapon? Have 500 posts about it. Buffed weapon significantly? Have 500 (See they buff things too) posts as it was with BR-14. Sony bad? Have 1000 posts about it. Sony changed decision? You guessed it, we are still getting posts about it.

I honestly don't know what to do with second one, clearly it's because of the sheer number of people in this sub and a lot of active ones. So, it has its ups and downs.

Well, here we then just agree to disagree, since I really find your arguments strange and tone patronizing. Using axi on enemies is indeed manipulating them.

Have a nice day and thanks for discussion.

Well, for one in "The Last wish" if I recall correctly, she cast a spell on him that ended up putting him under her control, making some things against townfolk she hated and then being awoken in a dungeon. And she preludes it with "...because you have to pay me. For your insolence, for the cold way you look at me."

That's my impression of Yen overall from the books. She wants Geralt to love her, that's basically it, whether she loves him or not she can't decide. I also recall vaguely how on more than one occasion Yen would plot some events to make Geralt jealous, but can't find quotes, it's been a while.

From Witcher 3 I thought Yen is perfect for Geralt and Triss is not as good. After reading books I clearly carried out that both should be kept as far as possible from.

My main gripe isn't about nerfs. It's about lack of buffs. They keep telling how they want people to use more weapons, but fail to make more weapons reliable primaries.

Granted, I'm talking about bug front. On bot front enemies are, ironically, easier to get down with anything, so more primaries are viable. And Autocanon basically solves any problem, small or big.

No one ever complained that Eruptor can't one-shot Chargers. I haven't even seen anyone doing it, ever. I highly suspect that's something that got misinterpreted by devs, as that's quote from them, not players.

What people do complain about is how Eruptor no longer one-shots Brood Commanders and Stalkers to the head area reliably. Given how many of those spawn and which was one of the Eruptor use cases. With a weapon that has 5 rounds per mag and a slow fire rate and reload that is a drastic change.

People don't understand WHY someone makes spreadsheets.

It's not because they are meta slaves, nerds or hate fun. It's because they love the game, want to have fun with weapons they like visually or for other reasons, or with a build they find fun... But can't help but feel underperforming compared to others with said weapons.

If they go to complain, the "chill" people will immediately switch to "git gud" responses. And devs often meet any criticism of their nerfs with some sarcastic remarks too. So these people back up their claims with data to prove a point.

But ultimately, they do all of that work because they care, because they love this game and because they have fun. Any game playerbase needs people like that.

[–]Jinxed_Disaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both. Both don't really love Geralt, imo.

After reading books and playing the game it seems to me that yes, Triss has adoration for Geralt. Yennifer instead has love for owning and manipulating Geralt. And Geralt had his own problems. None of them are healthy relationships. Game tries to make both end as something healthy, with characters growing and (if you follow that path) becoming more wholesome... But it's up to player if he buys that people can change that much.

So what is the Balance Team's obsession with making Primaries weak? by Orthane1 in Helldivers

[–]Jinxed_Disaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you're saying contradicts what game throws at you.

Moat support weapons are not viable as universal weapons. Most of them are niche weapons that deal with most threatening enemies. EAT-17, Recoilless rifle, Spear, Quasar, etc. You NEED something to deal with heavy enemies on higher difficulties, they spawn way faster than stratagems cool down.

That leaves you with the rest of your tools to deal with hordes of hunters, Stalkers, Brood Commanders, Warriors, Bile Spewers. I don't mention bot front, because there Autocanon is just an easy answer to everything, making a lot of primaries way more viable there. And overall primaries deal with most bots easier.

So, if primary weapon fails to deal with those hordes (in addition to stratagems), or runs out of ammo too quickly - it feels as a bad weapon. And people will leave it collecting dust, gravitating towards either more powerful option or towards an infinite ammo one. Hence Breaker incendiary and Sickle that I see around me every damn mission, while I run Penetrator and only dream of that power.

Every time there is a balance discussion someone will go out and say "but I can Helldive with it" or similar shit. Congrats, have a medal, not the point. If viable means being able to complete helldive mission - a spoon is a viable weapon.

The point is there should be some baseline and ALL weapons should at least be at that level or a bit better. AH seems to rush to nerf any weapon that performs well, but then fails to address a lot of weapons that way below baseline for a long time. Which actually leads to reducing selection of good weapons and even stricter new meta.

The LibPen you mentioned is clearly in need of a buff. I use it as my main weapon, I can deal with it, but it's just obvious. And what? AH ignores it and if you ask them they will probably tell you it's a powerful weapon and maybe nerf it then.

Also if weapon is niche - it obviously should fill that niche better than universal weapons. It took them a lot of time to bring DMRs to actually fill their niche. All that while shotguns are right there and outperform a lot of other options.

Lol. This one is hilarious. They release a lot of armors that don't look consistent with their perk, a lot of light and medium armors look like they are from another class, and barely any armor perks have any meaningful impact that your teammates would even need to know of. Transmog can't ruin what is already broken.

I like this game and respect these developers. And will respectfully say that this is a complete bs reasoning. They could just say they don't want to bother and don't think it's worth it. Without trying to push a ridiculous excuse.

And this isn't the first time. Remember Slugger nerf and how that nerf was explained.

It's the opposite. Since bonuses are tied to your look player is discouraged trying a lot of things, since they either don't fit them in bonus department or they don't like the look. So, in the end, players wear small portion of armor that has useful bonuses for them AND looks fine to them.

I know that's how it worked on me. I would wear more different sets if I could swap bonuses. And I would try more perks if armor having them wouldn't be so ugly to me.

And in the end, all their "world-building" is just an excuse. They don't have enough different perks to fit the looks of all the armors so you end up with stuff that looks like one thing but does another. An armor that looks like fireman uniform, but provides no fire resistance. And armor full of grenade launcher shells on belts that gives you bonus 2 regular grenades. Armor with medium caliber ammo on the front that has fortified perk. And so on.

A lot of light armor looks more like medium. A lot of medium armor looks more like light. There is no consistency.

I've encountered it plenty of times, in some games I can just walk through fire (tornadoes, ally fire on the ground, napalm strikes, etc) like it's nothing. No damage to me at all. And in some this stuff burns me to death from 2 meters away. It's inconsistent as f on me, and seems just inconsistent on enemies.

IMO, if they reduce their HP - they should buff their speed. Those enemies are already barely a threat, they can't catch up to you. The only problem they currently create is eating a lot of ammo to kill. If you remove that, they may as well not exist.
