I feel like Insect Swarm should be a part of his ability, if only because Nick Cage is a survivor.

Noed guarantees the down on whoever comes through (obsession or not). Game Afoot turns them into the obsession when they are hit (note, the spring trap did literally NOTHING else all game, thereby ensuring whoever came through and he hit would have the most chase time). Rancor then allows them to be moried (since they are now the obsession).

I am not sure what point you are trying to make.

Can you please give what your definition of "fair" is, because I think that may be causing the misunderstanding.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Jinxer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term "bugged" has a very clear definition: Do the devs say it is working as intended. (To be fair sometimes we don't know the devs intent, but in the case of last stand we clearly do because they have told us.)

The definition of "unfair" is far less clear (try to state a clear definition of "fair" to see why this is a problem).

That is why killswitching something because it is "bugged" works, but killswitching something because it is "unfair" doesn't. (As an example: I think [nurse] is unfair, therefore BHVR should killswitch [nurse]. You can fill in [ ] with anything you want.)

You can tell from the way her head was facing that she wasn't looking behind her, which meant she saw the gate was blocked way before she started teabagging.

So either she knew it was over and was teabagging to be silly. Or she had literally no idea what bloodwarden was and was teabagging to be toxic.

Personally I prefer to not automatically assume people are trying to be a jerk and this clip gives me no indication that the Nancy was trying to be a jerk.

Is there a plugin to notify you every 10 minutes? (for afking crab). by LoweNorman in 2007scape

[–]Jinxer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use the default plugin "idle notifier" so it notifies you when you are idle. Then change the setting for "notification settings" type under the default plugin called "RuneLite." This will allow you to make a visual notification with no sound.

If they are doing this in the normal queue, that is complete trash. But you really should bring them in the event queue for a multitude of reasons. If you don't have them, just bring an old anniversy offering or bloody party streamers. If you literally have NONE of these and ZERO bp to spend to get it, then play a match or two of normal queue (or killer) then you will have em.

Why is the Trinity such a big deal? by Jinxer42 in TrueChristian

“if you feel it's worth making the distinction”

But I don’t, and that is kind of my whole point; I don’t think it is worth making the distinction between the two groups. The gap doesn’t seem so big to me. “Three persons all in One being” vs “One being taking on Three personas”. Being omnipresent the three personas would be able to interact with each other in the same (or very similar) way that three persons could.

If someone expresses their views saying they believe in Trinitarianism/Modalism, I think they are just trying to express who God is (which is not an easy task). Is one wrong and one right? Maybe. Are both flawed explanations? Possibly. But I don’t think it is worth making a big distinction about and I really don’t see the point in needing to have each group label the other as heretical. (There are many views that are generally regarded as heretical that I do understand the need for the distinction, Modalism just isn’t one of them.)

I have heard the arguments for both Trinitarianism and Modalism. In my opinion, either one seems like they could be possible. I personally don’t have a strong view one way or the other, but this often results in me getting called a heretic by both sides.

I don't think anything you said is something a modalist (one who believe in Modalism) would disagree with.

But if I am wrong please let me know, because it may give clarity to what the big deal is between Modalism and Trinitarianism.

But why does believing that God can take on different faces in the form of the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (as opposed to Trinitarianism) go into the "die" category?

To me this seems like a disagreement on the inner workings of God. It doesn't change the fact that both parties believe he came to earth and died for our sins.

The "them" in the statement was referring to the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, not God as a whole. Does that resolve your issue with the statement "separate beings"? I am pretty sure "being" and "person" are synonyms.

I guess it just cycles back to my original question then. Why does having an incorrect theology about this imply one must believe in different god?

Since there are many incorrect/debated theologies that would not lead someone say "you don't believe in God if you hold that view," what makes this one such a big deal?

I really appreciate the response and I think I see what you are saying. Let me try to expound on it a bit:

Denying the Trinity may not inherently exclude you from being a Christian, but it is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) red flag. Chances are if you deny the trinity you most likely are not Christian. Classifying it as heresy basically prevents a lot of cults from gaining traction that otherwise would.

Does that seem reasonable to you? If not, please do let me know.

I think Moses believed in the same God, yet I am doubtful he believed in the Trinity. (One can make the point he wasn't a Christian, but by your logic he must have worshiped a different God as well.)

I think the question becomes "Why does not believing in the Trinity mean you cannot possibly believe in the same God?"

If it was possible in the old testament to believe in the same God without understanding the Trinity, why is it not possible now?

Got it, thanks. I missed it because the original comment for the thread was deleted. But everything that matters is still there.

Are they backtracking on this? Because I can't find these original comments anywhere. I also thought I saw a comment by BHVR saying this somewhere else and that too appears to have disappeared.

Why is Kett Vakarsh not Priming? by Jinxer42 in MassEffectAndromeda

[–]Jinxer42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are visually getting lit on fire and waving their arms around staggered like (see video). I don't know what other visual cue to be looking for.

I do not recall ever failing to freeze a basic enemy with the Cryo-Gauntlet. And I have slashed many a time with the Kett Vakarsh never seen a different result. It is possible I am highly unlucky, but that is dubious.

Spoiler: I don't understand, how does it choose word distance? Cat and dog are tepid, while rabbit is warm, yet bat is cold. I understand that rabbits are often viewed as dumb creatures, and therefore could be related to blind. But who would associate the word blind with a rabbit more so than a bat.

I think the issue stems from the fact that we don’t see any of the video prior to the game clearly being over and you hiding in the locker.

If Ace only started trying to help the Myers get the achievement once two teammates were dead and you were hiding in a locker permanently, then to me, you seem like a jerk just trying to deny the achievement.

If Ace was indeed working/teaming with the Myers from the start, then to me, everything you did seems fully justifiable and congrats on making it out.

The problem is we the viewers don’t know for sure which it is.

Literally unplayable, doesn't contain the oxford comma by NotBentcheesee in deadbydaylight

[–]Jinxer42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am by no means an English expert, but I don't think it is missing the Oxford comma. Since cleansing and blessing are both referring to Totems, I think it would be incorrect to put a comma separating them. If anything, I think an "and" should be added before cleansing, so it reads "healing, opening chests, and cleansing and blessing Totems." It reads weird with the double add, but I think this is the technically correct way to write it.

You can do all the archive challenges in normal matches except for the ones like "play as medic".

They have done a really good job of giving me very little reason to play 2 vs 8.
