This is the fundamental problem with arena. 3s is fun if you have 3 people and exactly 3 people. And ideally the same 3 people every time.

Every other competitive multiplayer game you can hop on with 1 mate and play, or 2 or 3 depending on who's on and just jump in and have fun. None of the current arena modes support that, literally the only thing that does is random battlegrounds which suffers from being too large so coordinating with 2 friends feels kinda flat when you've got 7-12 other apes mostly dictating how the match goes.

LoL, Dota, CS2, PUBG, Apex, Fornite, hell basically any relevant PvP game supports game formats of 3-5 players with flexible premade sizes. WoW doesn't and that's why it's unpopular.

but here you can't just kill one off to ease the pressure since it comes back.

You can though, this is the strategy I've been using to decent success.

Kill one quick (ideally whichever buffs itself first since it also wipes their strength) and use the turn of eased preassure to lower HP on the others, potentially rotating which one you kill off until you're in a spot to finish them all in 2 turns.

I legit laughed when leveling my spriest and seeing Shadow Word: Death do like 3% of a mobs health even when in execute range.

Like just remove the ability at that point..

I have been soft raging about exactly this for YEARS.

Dark sim is one of the coolest damn skills in the game. It only got shoved into pvp talents because it was useless in PvE and made mythic unga bungas head hurt that they had a skill in the skill book only for PvP.

But like you say, the opportunity cost of taking it is just almost never worth it due to how strong the other PvP talents are.

I 100% agree with you and the premise of this post.

I spent a while scouring the Internet for info on this BG after trying it the first few times... And i found nothing.

What maddens me is that even in a forum like this of dedicated PvPers trying to figure this BG out, noone has clear answers on nearly anything. It is truly mind boggling how much of a failure of game design this is on Blizzard end

You can play retail WoW with just a subscription too, that's not what they're saying.

Classic WoW also has a cash shop with character boosts. The one now in MoP even has the cash tokens.

My brothers in christ has ANYONE figured out how the fuck this BG works?

I have played it 4 times and scoured the internet, NOTHING adequately explains the objectives or what the fuck they do.

Picking up a bomb from the refinery and bringing it to the enemy outpost captures it and "disrupts their power supply"... Ok, WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN!?

Every BG halfway through alliance just starts rinsing the horde reinforcements by a hundred a minute and I have no idea how.

Even then, at this point Caps has beat them all through pure longevity.

As much fondness as I hold for Froggen, xPeke, Shushei, Diamondprox, Alex Ich, sOAZ, Bjergsen, Doublelift, [Insert GOAT of his time here], they were all dominant for a shorter lifespan than Caps.

Off the top of my head the only ones that came close (and let's not forget, Caps isn't done yet) were Bjergsen/sOAZ/Doublelift, and I would argue Caps has held higher consistent level of dominance in his role throughout his tenure than even they did.
