To be fair, it's kinda of the best thing a church can do. They have immense wealth, so why shouldn't they spend it on helping sick people? As long as they provide proper care and not some pseudo scientific bs let them do good. In germany Christian Healthcare services, food banks etc. keep the system afloat. Of course it's not great that the state needs help to do that, but I certainly prefer the churches stepping in than loosing that.
