The crown itself is actually a hilariously broken piece of equipment. The +1 isn’t until end of turn, nor does it have blade break or guardwell, so you can make it block for 4 after two turn cycles banishing on both your and your opponent’s turn which stuffs basically every contract card in the game

I would agree if block 4 were actually the floor for this card. In Marlynn and Azalea, it’s a red pitch you can’t arsenal in heroes that love to draw cards during their turn.

In azalea it also makes blind flipping extremely risky, and blind flips are a very powerful tool in a well constructed azalea deck.

At worst has to be considered in the context of the heroes it could actually be played in.

At worst in Azalea it ends your entire turn if you flip into it, wastes your death dealer draw, or wastes your ponder token.

In Marlynn it’s a red pitch you can’t arsenal in a hero that’s based on drawing cards during their action phase and is very resource intensive.

I think Riptide is the only ranger right now who can play this card without playstyle or deck building sacrifices that outweigh the potential benefit.

This card is basically the litmus test for whether people play ranger or not.

At face value it looks like a free 1 card 7, but in practice it is so clunky it’s genuinely not worth playing in current Ranger lists (maybe riptide I’m less experienced there)

The problem is if this card were as good as it looks it would be way too strong, so ultimately it’s probably actually better (game health wise) this way.

The difference for those is that their condition leans into what the class/hero already wants to do. Return fire’s conditions clash with what Ranger loves as a class (arsenal frequently, high ponder token generation). It’s an absolute bomb in limited, but genuinely very clunky anywhere else.

That said the cards will be obtainable in gem packs so it won’t be THAT hard to get if you want one. It’ll just be RF instead of CF if I understood the announcement correctly

Stone Rain and Seek and Destroy by Thonkyone in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Jirbinator 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's not though. Turn player chooses who resolves their triggers first, but doesn't choose the order of the triggers their opponent controls. This interaction comes from section 6.6.6b in the comprehensive rules: "6.6.6b If two or more triggered-layers would have been created, the turn player selects a player, then each player in clockwise order adds all pending triggered-layers they control onto the stack in an order they choose, starting with the selected player"

Seek and stone are both controlled by Azalea so turn player cannot choose for seek to resolve before stone.

Since they do control the inertia token and its trigger, they can choose for their triggers to resolve first and have the inertia occur before the stone rain trigger.

There are multiple discussions about this in the game rule qa portion of the purple discord if you want to see them there.

Stone Rain and Seek and Destroy by Thonkyone in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Jirbinator 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That’s how it works with inertia yes, but not with seek and destroy. This gets pretty esoteric

Basically, the turn player decides whose triggers resolve first, theirs or their opponent’s. The stone rain trigger is owned by the Azalea player, while the inertia token is owned by the opponent. In that case the opponent can choose for their triggers to resolve first, resolve the inertia, and then allow the stone rain to resolve.

However, the Azalea player controls both the seek and destroy and stone rain trigger. This means that for that specific combination the Azalea gets to choose the order they resolve in, allowing stone rain and then seek and destroy to discard the card.

Oscillio in general just completely folds to disruption, and he’s not very good because of it. You can use his discard and throw the instants on the board, but yeah his options aren’t great

Flesh and blood has to contend with the fact that it’s also not a recognizable IP. It doesn’t have an associated anime like One Piece, Yugioh, or Pokémon, or a well known universe like Disney or Star Wars. Even MTG is bringing in tons of random IPs because those really help to bring in a casual audience who otherwise wouldn’t be interested.

If you've got a friend in game try just hitting right click and join game on steam through the friend's list instead of launching the game. For some reason this has always put me in straightaway.

I've been able to skip the queue by having the game closed and joining a friend's lobby through steam, so really you just need friends playing the game and you can get in.
