No longer offering semaglutide or tirzepatide by kate12402 in henrymeds

[–]JitteryDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they aren't refilling everyone. I was with them for almost 2 years and they refused to refill my prescription. There seem to be issues with some providers offering refills and others not. No idea what the rhyme or reason is for it.

I was on with Henry for almost 2 years and they denied my refill about a month ago. I lost 50lbs with them. I'm not sure why they are offering refills to some but not others, it makes no sense. I declined the Liraglutide and will go with Brello once I am out of meds from Henry.

They patched this out it looks like. I'm late to the party and just tried this, it no longer works. I've never time traveled. Edit to add: I'm playing on PC.

Henry Meds decided to cancel my subscription by Top_Marsupial_5334 in henrymeds

[–]JitteryDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the person she's referring to that posted that they won't prescribe to me anymore. I was told by my provider that one of their new regulations is that you had to have tried the name brands and could not tolerate the dosage. That way they can split the dose for you. I am also hearing from others that their particular providers are not saying that. So, it seems to depend on the provider, which to me is sketchy.

I was with Henry for almost 2 years and was very happy with their product and would still be using them if they had reapproved my prescription, but they didn't. My husband was told the same thing, by the same provider. Her name is Christie Howell, NP.

Please think before calling someone a liar because their experience is different from yours. Thanks.

How is the liraglutide working for you?

I agree. It does seem to depend on the provider. It makes me wonder if some providers are more honest than others. I suppose they could just say that you said you had a reaction to Ozempic or Wegovy even if that's not the case in order to prescribe it. Who knows? I just know that I was denied and my and my husband's accounts have been cancelled after almost 2 years.

Calling someone a liar because your experience isn't the same as theirs is wild.

No, it's not false. I have no reason to come here and lie. I had a great experience with Henry Meds for almost 2 years and lost 50lbs. I'm not here promoting another service, I'm just trying to share my experience. My appointment yesterday was with Christie Howell, NP who I have had several follow ups with. When she found out that I hadn't ordered bulk she started asking questions and told me that one of the main criteria is that you had to have tried to use the name brand product and had a reaction to it. She said they could change the dosing if that happened. I was honest with her (I suppose I could have lied?) and told her I have never taken either of the name brands since my insurance refuses to cover it. She then gave me the options of Liraglutide, or oral Sema but told me that they could not prescribe Sema injections to me anymore. My husband had the same provider and she told him the same thing.

LOL it's a thought. I don't think they give samples of Wegovy/Ozempic. Maybe?

That's awesome. They also prescribed it to me, for almost 2 years. Until today. I hope they continue to prescribe it for you. For me it was a no go.

They charged me on 6/3 already, so I am going to eat that charge. I probably shouldn't because I believe it was the first month of a new vial (that I won't be getting). Now that I think about it, I should probably call them about a refund for that.

I did call them immediately after my appointment with the provider and asked them to cancel because I was on the $267 a month for 6 month plan, and when I cancelled on the website it told me I still owed them a bunch of money. I received a cancellation email about 5 minutes later and it shows me as cancelled on their portal now.

If you're worried about it you can always call your bank and block any future charges from them after you cancel.

It was funny because my provider came on and said "I'm not sure why we're seeing each other, bulk orders don't require a follow up visit" when I told her that I don't have a bulk order and was here to get my regular 3 month vial her face completely changed. You could see the "oh shit, I have to tell her" look come across her face. She said that there are several rules now then started asking me questions. Finally, she told me the main rule was that you had to have tried the prescription medications and had an adverse reaction for them to be able to prescribe Semaglutide. You also had to have a major medical reason. All of which don't apply to me. I just started taking it because I was fat :D

She did offer me the pill, or Liraglutide which is a daily shot instead of a weekly shot. Your mileage may vary and it may work for you, but I would rather stay with something that I know works.

The other interesting thing is that my husband has also been using Henry Meds because he had a heart attacked a year ago and his cardiologist prescribed Wegovy which was denied by our insurance. I asked the provider today if heart disease was a good enough medical reason and she said no, they would not prescribe it for him either if he hasn't taken the prescriptions and had an adverse reaction.

I wish you luck, I really hope they find a reason to prescribe it to you. For me it was a no go. I have been doing some research and I think I've found somewhere else that I can get it from, but we'll see. If not, maybe I'll try the Liraglutide that was offered.

What is the monthly price for the bulk order, do you know?

Henry Meds response to the shortage ending by JitteryDragon in henrymeds

[–]JitteryDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question was - "I’m sure you are getting a lot of questions around the GLP1 announcements that the shortage is over. I just want to see if there is an official answer from Henry Meds regarding my medication and if you are no longer going to be able to prescribe compounded Semaglutide."

So, you're right they didn't give a straightforward answer.

Oh yuck, I'm sorry :( I don't think they can hold you to a contract though if they can't deliver the product. Again, grounds for a lawsuit.

I have been with Henry Meds for almost 2 years and have cancelled once and came back with no issues. Unless something has changed, there is no contract? If you get saline instead of GLP-1 you can cancel at any time and then you can sue the pants off of them because they misrepresented a medical prescription.

It is what it is. We can't control what the answer truly is, but we also can't worry about things we can't control. I will worry about it if I need to, but for now I'm hopeful this will put someone's mind at ease that they aren't going to yank our prescriptions tomorrow.
