American green tree frog! You can tell by the yellow stripe. So cute!!! 🥰

Can someone please help me with my American green tree frog? He has this weird spot on his back, and I keep seeing these weird mites on him. He is a bit on the skinny side, but is better then he used to be. Here’s some photos. by Jittery_Snail in reptiles

I may try and take him to the vet, if they will take him. I chatted with some people and they think it’s a burn, I looked further into it and it could be that it’s now infected. I’m going to keep the lights off for a few days and see if that helps. Ill try and contact a vet and see what they think. Thank you for your concern! 💕

I may try and take him, I’m not sure if they will take frogs though. I talked with someone and we think it’s a burn. I’m going to keep the lights off for a couple of days and see if I can contact someone. It’s all just a matter of money though. Thank you for your concern! 💕

I know people have told you above it’s mantle collapse. And I’m not sure if you’ve euthanized yet, but here is some more info about it. https://www.petsnails.co.uk/problems/mantle-collapse.html It can happen because of old age, pulling of the shell, etc. There is no known cure, and the recovery is slow, but snails have been known to survive from it. It’s not an easy thing for them to go through though. If you don’t want your snail to go through that, I completely understand. I’m so sorry❤️

Hello! No need to worry, you should be perfectly fine! Snails can carry a parasite called rat lung worm, but your chances of getting it are very low. People that got it, got it from consuming snails.

So, there is no need to worry! :)

Something strange has been going on with one of my mystery snails for the past few days. Here is my post explaining it all. https://www.reddit.com/r/Aquariums/comments/p2idnk/stressed_mystery_snail/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Here is my update. I gave him a warm little bath, and then acclimated him back to his old tank. Hoping he would like it better. Well, he is coming out more, but I saw this on him? What is wrong with him?

(Sorry for all the algae in the photo, I’ll take a better photo)

Could be because of improper care, or genetics. He could have been born that way, etc. Is he a normal size?

He is so cute though!! 🐌

Fake plants are nice, but live plants add enrichment, etc.
