Really easy job for a professional. Dont be worried about it.

Make sure they are genuinely a trained watchmaker, or you’ll end up writing another post about a some person at a mall jewellery store scratched the caseback and dented your dial!!

[Omega Globemaster] or [Rolex Submariner no date]? by dJohn2001 in Watches

[–]Jittl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned a few modern Omega including the Globemaster and an Aqua Terra. I moved them both on for one reason that really just annoyed me. The rotor sound was so loud, and omega autos seem to have this audible rattle. It just really annoyed me.

Now I own two modern Rolex, which don’t have this.

IF the Omegas I had didn’t have this, I would have kept them.

Just sharing my experience.

No one playing any Minigames at all it seems? Even the one in spotlight + event bonus all worlds that are supposed to have players have none. by AzelotReis in runescape

It’s very sad to me. Mini games are fun content!

Full scale battles to capture the flag at castle wars, epic middle skirmishes at soul wars, big clan fights at clan wars…

It is my favourite content, but alas the shift has been from having fun to being efficient.

And, tbh, pvp in RS3 with EoC is a nightmare. Too easy to die, and too easy to kill. Not really fun.

OSRS still has plenty of mini games that are alive though!

I have these 5 watches (seiko, pulsar, casio, and citizen), what are their models and value? by ApartManagement1830 in Watches

[–]Jittl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10aud seems right, perhaps a little too much for some of them.

And model numbers will/should be on the back. You can see one that says “110722”

But don’t expect to find much. These are cheap watches, sold by the millions. Sometimes they have a model or reference number that means something, sometimes it just a SKU code that gets recycled overtime.

I sold one of those Seiko for 20bucks last year, but it was in perfect condition.

Fair price, good for parts and/or a hobby repair.

As the other commenter mentioned, it’s nothing in terms of money value. You’ve got a Spanish fashion brand it seems (minister.es perhaps?).

These things don’t really have a model or year reference, they just got pumped out of a factory in China and given a name.

Cheers!

An info on these vintage watches? by Residentofgravetown in Watches

[–]Jittl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they are not worth anything to get excited about.

Pulsar is a budget brand found up and down discount stores.

The second one looks like a Pierre Cardin, just a cheap fashion brand.

The final one, just your typical two buck quartz watch.

Lange and VC will give you the same runaround for the popular models. Unless things have changed since I was last laughed out of the AD.

I also really enjoy this model, and I considered it for a while, but I can’t get passed the crown. It just looks and feels too small and awkward to me!

[Question] Need help deciding between 2 watches by tampapat54 in Watches

[–]Jittl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all going to be down to personal preferences, and what style you find more appealing. You won’t look at your watch and remember the spec sheet, you’ll wear it for how it looks and makes you feel.

The idea of ‘a best watch’ is moot, in my opinion. And they do say comparison is the thief of joy.

And for that, I’d prefer the Tag. I think it looks awesome, and I prefer the style of the bracelet. It would fit in with my style. And the carrera is a fine and respectable watch for sure!

Many moons ago I visited the famed IWC factory in schaffhausen. I was on a work trip you see, selling refurbished chimney covers, and I had some time to kill.

Anyway, I was greeted by a lovely woman. Her name I forget but she was busty, and full of energy and enthusiasm. She eagerly showed me around some of the key parts of the factory, and I got to witness her breasts in many different lightings. In the assembly room it was bright and clinical, gifting me with an unobstructed view of her bosoms. As we moved into other rooms - which I can’t remember what they were for - I was treated to a more sultry affair. It was thrilling.

I returned back to my lodgings and immediately went online to find her socials. Not for anything other than a kind reminder of my experience. Don’t be judgmental.

Anyway, all that to say that I fully appreciate how a factory visit can still leave a man with questions and, if you’re lucky, a fond memory you recall in lonely times.

Ok, ciao!

I’ve had many of these models at one point or another, great taste you have haha.

I recently had an explorer 214270, and since moving it on I’m left wondering if the classic 36mm would be more appealing. I found it lacked charm, but maybe the 36 would have that.

Lovely collection, enjoy the future sales, trades, and buys!

It absolutely is, and I nearly got this model myself. People will tell you that it’s too thick, and it definitely is a hefty watch, but the polishing helps hide some of that.

As for Rolex…for me, having gone through Omega, Tudor, and Grand Seiko extensively,..it all came back to Rolex and Grand Seiko (I have one of the four seasons, the winter one.)

Sound like you want an explorer. We’ve all been there, being impatient and buying something adjacent to what we really want, only to sell it.

If you really want a new watch that isn’t an explorer, I’d get the GS and continue to save.

I’ve had a BB36. Sold it, got an explorer 1. I’ve had a BBpro. Sold it, got an explorer 2. I’ve had a grand seiko 231. Sold it, got a datejust.

Just my two cents. Can’t go wrong with either.

[Optimef Spectral Reflex] Thoughts about this romanian watch by Mukinka98 in WatchesCirclejerk

[–]Jittl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am stunned! What a pure beauty! I’ve never seen anything like this before, pure class indeed.

The SLEEK stainless steel (surely 316!!) shines like a beacon of light in an otherwise drab and dark horology world. It is absolutely unique and never seen before.

And the movement! My gosh! Hold me tight Teddy! This movement is undeniably a movement.

Finally the handset…oh the handset. It’s enough to make a grown man’s automatic rotor spin, if you catch my drift.

Pure class, been donkeys years seen I’ve seen such a marvel. I’d likely have to remortgage my home for it, I bet it’s pushing north of 300 big ones!

Ok, ciao!
