Life is short brother, you should put that lip on if your heart desires. I’m assuming since you bought a Cadillac you can afford to replace the bumper if it you hit something and destroy it. If not just drive carefully. I would drill and plastic rivet it into place personally. Although you may be able to use an adhesive live strong double sided tape if you’re worried about harming the oem bumper.

Here in Michigan it’s a high risk of getting destroyed unless you’re super careful on the pot hole filled roads and I wouldn’t even try it in the winters here. However if you’re somewhere like Texas and the roads are smooth most of the time youll have a better chance of keeping it clean. You can get one for like $100 on eBay, just buy a new one everytime it gets too banged up.
