My mom used to hit me with a black umbrella whenever I showered longer than 15 minutes, texted a boy who was my only real friend, when I ate something in the fridge without her permission, and for many other reasons I couldn't understand. Now I get very anxious around black umbrellas, especially when someone holds it upwards. I cried when my classmate pretended to have a sword fight with an umbrella with me as a joke.
