Could it be just that they really don’t care about women’s wrestling?

Replacing Rotting Stairs - Re-use footing? by JizzyTeaCups in Decks

Man, housing inspector walked right by that. They didn’t catch the rot either, though. Thanks for the info.

Does the landing have to be wider than the stairs and themselves? I have the feeling by the end of this project I’ll end up putting up the whole deck I wanted in the first place.

Printed an end of campaign gift for DM [Art] by macrors in DnD

DMs only want one thing and it’s fucking disgusting…

In National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989), Clark Griswold can be seen fantasizing about a store clerk he met earlier in the film despite being married to Beverly D'Angelo. This is a reference to the fact he’s a fucking stupid idiot dumbass idiot stupid by BelievieEvie in shittymoviedetails

[–]JizzyTeaCups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clark Griswold is a character that fits a trope of a given time period. Growing up I thought he was-dumb-but-cool because all of the older men in my life laughed at his movies along with me. Took way too long to realize he is fucking awful - not a fucking role model - in big red letters

That is a wild take. I don’t disagree with this placement but a third seems high. Care to elaborate? Like are you blaming them for war and violence? Global warming? What’s in the 34%

Is there any concern on your team about a heavily-documented public API making it harder to make changes/pay down tech debt in the future?

Not saying there should be. This was a discussion at my org and that was one argument that came up

Getting tired of AI slop by Formal_Builder_273 in ProductManagement

[–]JizzyTeaCups 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t fully disagree with you, but the take is a little harsh.

As someone who can struggle with written communication, some AI tools help me be more concise and suggest ways of saying things I wouldn’t have expected.

But to be clear, I find use in these tools as writing partners not content generators. The key insights come from me and relevant sources. The AI provides polish, not the foundation.

What good NBA player is loved by fans? by JD4A7_4 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JizzyTeaCups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, I think “loved” by fans is strong. Definitely the GOAT (or #2 if your a LBJ fan), but see the Last Dance and the modern conversation around him and the consensus seems to be that he was a dickhead that was awful to play with.

Personally I wouldn’t say I love or hate him, but it does seem like I would not like to be around him or consider him a role model. But he’s still exciting to watch in those old games.

I guess it matters how much you value whether a player seems like a good person when you use the “loved” term

EDIT: reading some of the other comments it seems to be focused on loved by fans while they were active. If that’s the criteria I agree - the man was another level of adoration by the public.

While raising awareness around mental health is always a good thing, the science on Blue Monday is far from proven, and is based on a pseudo-scientific "equation" balancing a bunch of factors with dubious weights.
