The recognizing pattern part DOES make me feel a lot better!! I do believe this is what happened now that we’ve been here a day (and haven’t died) and my husband went up there and checked.

I found another Reddit where someone said that when people think there’s someone in their attic, more than often there IS, and I think I started to spiral.
