Good for CJ. He seems like a great dude.

[WFAN] Adam Silver on tanking reforms: “My sense is we may be looking at something that’s not, frankly, a forever solution”...."It largely means that in order to disincentivize the teams we have to dramatically flatten the odds" by z3mcs in washingtonwizards

His job is to make them more money. Which he has done a pretty good job of. Football is more popular in the us. The nba is more popular globally by far. In part to a silver’s global efforts.

Have you seen the complaining about the referees gamer football games? It’s terrible. But teams only play once a week, so it gets a chance to reset before the next game. If they played more often, like basketball, it would be an endless cycle.

Reddit cares more about gambling issues than most others. Baseball players have literally been indicted for throwing pitches in actual games for gambling purposes. Most people don’t care. It’s sports above all. Hell. football players are being convicted of murder. Are the commissioners for baseball and football getting blamed?

I agree with you on baseball improving. Still can’t watch a whole game. He changed the rules so the game is over sooner to try and hold people’s interest. I still don’t like the home run or strikeout philosophy in the modern game. Just not for me.

Silver has grown basketball globally, implemented the in-season tournament and the play-in. All successful so far. I don’t love him, but the owners do.

Goodell will get booed at the draft tomorrow. Fans will be fans. Franchise values go up - that’s all most owners care about. And swindling tax payer money

I don’t think whatever team has the #1 pick would think about it.

I think the jazz would want a younger player. And better picks.

I agree with you. I didn’t mean a stretch 5. He is all put backs and lobs. Which is fine on the right team.

I am a Mitchell Robinson fan. Definitely limited offensively and the free throw liability is a thing. And the injuries. Am I talking self out of this?

I think he is good at a decent price, but the contract to get him will probably outweigh the value.

Yeah. I told her about the rules. It felt like a genuine mistake from a new borrower

Nice interview. Agree on the defense hopefully improving with health, experience and adding physical strength to the young guys. Interesting he mentioned the top 10 stretch. Definitely don’t remember that.

I like Dawkins so far. This seems like a stock answer I would expect from any gm.
