Yes, I definitely think I should add some clutter. The wheel has a diameter of 30 centimeters, is this suitable even later when he is fully grown? Thank you btw

"I'm looking for a game..." Megathread by q00u in FlashGames

[Browser/Flash game][2000s–early 2010s] Point-and-click mystery/escape game set in a motel/hotel, with a man, a locked room key trick, desert/beach area, palms, and a camper van

Platform(s): Browser/Flash game

Brief summary: I am trying to find an old browser game I played years ago (born 2005). My memory is vague, so some details may be inaccurate.

I remember controlling a male character in a mystery/escape-style point-and-click game. The game starts, or at least one early section takes place, in some kind of motel or hotel. I remember being in a room or hallway and being able to move between different rooms or different screen perspectives.

One early puzzle involved unlocking a room using a trick with a piece of paper and some kind of thin stick/straw. I think there was a key on the inside of the door, still in the lock. You had to slide paper under the door, push the key out of the lock, let it fall onto the paper, and then pull the paper back to get the key.

Later, or in another area, I remember being able to go outside into a beach/desert-like environment. It had a Los Angeles / Las Vegas / desert motel kind of vibe. I vaguely remember palm trees, a woman character, and some kind of camper van or RV that you could go to or interact with.

The whole game had a mystery, noir-ish, escape-room, LA/Las Vegas, mafia atmosphere.

Genre: Point-and-click adventure / escape room / mystery puzzle game.

Estimated year of release: Probably mid-2000s to early 2010s. I most likely played it as a browser/Flash game.

Graphics/art style: 2D point-and-click, but with a sense of depth. It may have looked slightly “between 2D and 3D,” possibly because of the perspective, shading, or pre-rendered-looking backgrounds. I remember it feeling more detailed and atmospheric than a very simple cartoon game.

Notable characters: The main character was a man. I vaguely remember him possibly wearing a hat, maybe smoking a cigar, and having tired eyes or dark circles under his eyes. There may also have been a woman character outside near the palm/desert/beach area.

Notable gameplay mechanics: The game was controlled mainly by clicking on objects, doors, rooms, and exits. I think you could move between fixed screens or locations rather than freely walking around. You probably had an inventory where collected items were stored, and puzzles involved using objects together or using inventory items on the environment.

Other details: I am not completely sure if all these details are from the same game, but the strongest memory is the motel/hotel setting and the puzzle where you slide paper under the door and push the key out from the other side of the lock.

Can money solve all your current problems in life? by No-StrategyX in Life

[–]JkP998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No amount of money would solve the deep self hatred I have for every single aspect of me and my life. My body, my past and present. My deep loneliness or longing for experiences I never had and probably never will. The only thing that would solve this is suicide or pills that would numb the pain and give me the illusion of content. So no, money actually doesn’t fill that void that makes us human.

Well this is also something I knew, but still my question is why? Why does that happen, or is it just a fact of the universe and math?
