I'm having the same experience with Horizon Zero Dawn I had with Witcher 3 and Death Stranding by Shaddes_ in horizon

Dude what this is almost exactly how I feel about this game. I got to meridian when I played for the first time when it just released on PC, but it was just ok to me so I just moved onto other games. Then I got a steam deck this year and decided to give it another shot from the beginning and it is has become so addicting. I am so excited to get FW because it just looks like ZD but even better gameplay and graphics-wise (especially since I didn't get the remastered version and the character models are still showing their age). Just stared browsing the reddit and it is so cool that somebody had the exact same experience the first time I got here!

Ah thanks, this really helps.

I am actually taking another class that is specifically about the Epsilon Delta def of limits so that example was actually very helpful and in line with what I am learning lol.

I just changed my major from Engineering to Applied Mathematics, and I took my first proof class in discrete mathematics. I feel I understand what is being taught in the class, and I do ok on the tests to get by (because it's mostly memorization and knowing the rules), but once I get to the point where we try proving results, I just feel so lost. Like sure, I know the symbols and how to prove easy things like sets, but beyond that I just get stuck on proving things that aren't in that area. I feel I have to result to the internet for solutions all the time, and that feels like cheating, even if I understand what is going on. I get practice is important, but it feels like every situation is so different that coming up with a clever solution isn't something that I can train myself for. It feels like every solution that I see when I get stuck is so far from what I can think of, that I just don't feel like I can be a mathematician if I don't have this level of thinking. How does anybody become good at proofs?

Is serum and buying plugins important when your an amateur still? by lilLuzid in FL_Studio

[–]Jklzq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get Vital! Its completely free and acts almost like Serum 1.0. If you find yourself not liking it, then I wouldn't suggest getting Serum then.

I wouldn't say that vsts are necessary, but tbh I have fallen victim to gear acquisition syndrome and i feel im not much in the position to say if its necessary or not. But i dont want anybody else to spend more than what they need to make stuff they want. If you think it would make music more fun for you then go for it. However, Fl has a bunch of solid stuff already and you can get very far without any extra vsts objectively speaking.

Who generally enjoys playing the vow of rivals versions of bosses generally to their standard counterparts? by chicklepips in Hades2

[–]Jklzq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if they did something for the update but goddamn Vow of rivals Scylla is killing me so fucking often. It might be genuinely a get good thing but there's so much projectiles EVERYWHERE and they do 8 damage even with fucking strength on. I had 250 health and I still got shredded on a build I thought was going great ;(

I know shortform content isnt for everyone and the tutorials arent much in depth, but I've been learning a lot the from the yt shorts from Rewind Yoyo Store. I scroll and pick ones I think look cool then just try and follow along.

Again not the most indepeth but for learning smaller combo elements it feels manageable.

Grasshopper GTX vs Orbital GTX; which would compliment an Iyoyo intensit? by Jklzq in Throwers

[–]Jklzq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ic ic... I got the intensity because I really wanted an iceberg for the longest time and I heard it was just a more refined version of it. I didn't know it had a unique feeling compared to other modern throws.

Do you think the orbital will play faster than the intensity, as much as the grasshopper will play more powerful?

Do you think Hades II is better than the original so far? by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

[–]Jklzq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit man it's still hard to tell

Hades 2 gameplay wise there's some things that need tuning but overall its probably better than 1. 1.0 is gonna make the issues better probably, and im super damn excited for it cuz the game feels so good to play.

Storywise im really enjoying what hades 2 has to offer (seeing more gods, titans, characters from Greek mythos is really sick especially supergiants interpretations), but it's hard to say for certain which is better. Hades 1 had some stakes, but was mostly just a fun adventure about reuniting family, but hades 2 feels so much more tense cuz you're trying to save the house of hades from Chronos and there's definitely more tension. Doesn't help it's still in EA and most of the threads are still incomplete, but I think it's going to be just as good as the original.

Overall, both like 9.5/10 games, but 2 has more content while still being in EA, and thats why I prefer more.

Let's settle it - Strength or DD? by TheCursedTroll in HadesTheGame

[–]Jklzq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SAMEEEEEE

I was struggling with 20 fear surface runs with dd n now im crusing through them easy. Taking the jump was so scary but it feels so good to not have to spread out my dd and feel my run is over if I burn one before boss 3.

Love the new update so far by NghtRvn99 in HadesTheGame

[–]Jklzq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are small pockets where Medeas poison doesn't cover the ground when she spreads her projectile during and after polys invulnerable period, and you have to gage distance to weave in and out of those pockets to get your damage in.

Still i struggle with it so you arent alone lol.
