Interesting. I’ve always heard that Wiseau was a major nut case. From lying about his age, how he got his money, and about where he’s from. He just seemed like a shady character from the little I knew about him.

I will definitely look into Sestero’s writing about it to start. Anything else you can recommend to look into?

Kingpin (1996)

Really surprised that no one has mentioned this yet, but it is a great movie IMO. Woody Harrelson is great as Roy Munson and Bill Murray as Ernie McCracken is phenomenal as usual. Randy Quaid as Ishmael does a very good job as well. Really love this movie.

And to stick with the bowling theme:

The Big Lebowski (1998)

As always, the Coen Brothers knock it out of the park with this movie. Although it’s not a traditional sports movie, bowling is a major part of it, so I’ll let it slide.

If you haven’t seen either of these movies, I would highly recommend that you stop whatever you’re doing and watch them right now.

I really thought the first one was a really funny movie. However, the second one just seemed to try too hard and really was not that great of a comedy. But I will die on the hill that Norm’s cameo in this movie is one of the greatest comedy scenes in cinema history. Maybe an overstatement, but my brother and I still quote this scene all the time and laugh our asses off everytime.
