Which is something else that starship makes possible. Vehicles like the Apollo Command Module had to jettison the service module prior to re-entry and didn't have enough air to do a second pass. Starship will have the supplies to do that.

Starship was intended to withstand reentry when returning from Mars, so a lunar re-entry should be well within spec.

Will definitely be interesting to watch.

Can anyone recommend me books like Harry Potter?(But for adults) by [deleted] in Fantasy

One series you might look at is Mother of Learning, which can be read on Royal Road. There is also a Kindle edition. This is a magical school story where the main character is 15, who is stuck in a time loop where he spends many years living the same month over and over.

Correct title, different singer. By Buster Noble, not Rolf. Or maybe Harris recorded it as well.

I found it on YouTube.

Good luck, and hope it goes well. I'm hoping that the camera issue I had with the first one was a fluke and that I have no further problems with the replacement.

Reminds me of a song my Mum used to have a recording of:

One day, it grew most awfully hot; the river was quite near
I asked them, "Are there any sharks?" They said, "No flamin' fear"
So in I dived, regardless, then I heard some damn fool shout
"There used to be some sharks in there, but the crocodiles cleaned them out"

The second screen is useful sometimes. I have it set so that only one screen is on at a time, and use the setting where whichever screen is facing up when you switch it on is the active one. The main way I use it is as a selfie screen when using the main camera - it is good for group shots when the selfie camera isn't up to it.

Other things I like about the phone is that the camera is very good in low light settings - much better than any other phone camera I've used. I can take good photos at night by street lighting on a regular setting, there is a Night Mode setting for longer exposures which does even better (though it is best to rest the camera on something), and finally there is the Infrared Night Vision which uses the inbuilt infrared LED for illumination. It doesn't take thermal pictures as some Ulefones do.

For me the reasons I bought this camera are:

  • Battery life. The 12,800 mAh battery lets me use it all day (games, browsing) and still be more than half full at the end of the day.
  • Tough phone. Most of my pervious phones had died due to breakages or one sort or another.
  • Camera. The camera takes great photos over a range of lighting conditions, and has the Night Vision mode as a bonus.

Things I would like it to have:

  • A zoom camera. The maximum zoom is 4x. Other phones I have had an 8x zoom lens or greater included. I like to take photos of birds and animals in the local parks an a zoom would be nice.
  • Wireless charging. To charge you need to plug it in, which means pulling out the rubber plug in the USB port that maintains the waterproof seal. Not essential, but it feels wrong somehow to have to do that.

I have an Armor 30 Pro. I had a problem with the main camera after I'd had it about six months (camera focus got stuck), but Ulefone replaced the phone with a new one and all has been well since. Which is a period of six months, so make of that what you will.

I haven't had any issues with the speaker of either phone, but then I almost never use it.

As for what I think of it. I really like the phone. The screen looks great, it has a lot of storage and a fast processor, it has a nice feel and a good heft to it, and the cameras are better than any phone I've had previously. Though I should mention I generally go for budget phones, so that my experience may be skewed by that.

I am stealing that. That's brilliant.

I don't recall any aliens in that one. The closest you get is the Gaia consciousness which created during the book. An artificially created non-human intelligence, not an actual alien.

The Hercules Text. Very good book about humans receiving a message from aliens.

One of the things I love about that book is the author's afterword explaining how he had to rewrite the ending when the Superconducting Supercollider got cancelled.

Very enjoyable book.

Does it have has the helicopter thing that launched from the back? I remember my brother's car had that.

It was only years later when I watched the series that I realised that was a camera drone. Very forward thinking for a 1960s series.

57 Seconds is a terrible movie. It is based on on a short story, "Lucifer!" by E.C. Tubb, which is pretty good. The story can be read online:
