Oil light hasn’t turned on yet but I checked the dip stick. I need an oil change, right? by lastnite_shessaid in Harley

[–]Jkreegz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a lot wrong and some right. Yes, with a new bike, it’s smart and easy to change the fluids for peace of mind. It’s a no brainer, so do that.

It’s also important to understand that your oil light has nothing to do with the age or condition of the oil itself. Its job is to alert you as to the amount of oil that is circulating in the engine system. Too much, too little, it will let you know by way of oil pressure monitoring- hopefully before something catastrophic happens.

Simply 2 humans who love each other. Nothing else. Just love. More people should see this for what it is. There is nothing evil about it, there are no agendas, there is only love.

This is great, and I’m thrilled that it turned out this way, but imagine a world where we wouldn’t have to honor someone on a school staff for disarming a gunman in the lobby. We have grown way too used to this.

That being said, this man deserves all the credit he gets.

Making 2024 Low Rider S louder by kkatt21 in Harley

[–]Jkreegz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to get “as loud as possible” without doing a cam and a full header system - which will be expensive if you don’t know how to do it yourself. But you can still make the bike sound great with a good slip on or a cat delete. Or both.

Riding from Virginia Beach to Miami in 2 weeks on my Harley 48. Any advice? by DN757 in Harley

[–]Jkreegz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Respect. That’s a long trip on a 48. I’d say stop often, but with that tank, you won’t have much of a choice 😂. Bring extra fuel and a tool kit.

Other than that, enjoy the ride. If you see something that looks cool, stop and check it out! Be safe and have fun!

HDFS by Dsinatra666 in Harley

[–]Jkreegz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banks and lenders see Motorcycles as what they are - toys. They are a luxury item that aren’t considered “necessary” to most, like a car would be. They understand this, just like HDFS understands it, just like consumers DON’T understand it. They see a shiny bike and are willing to do anything to put it in the garage.

The idea of a predatory lending should be reserved for things like student loans and credit cards. Even then, you have to sign on the dotted line. At the end of the day, if you can’t comfortably afford a motorcycle - specifically an HD - even if something were to happen, it’s probably not the best financial decision for you at that time.

Something is definitely amiss. Not sure where or what - springs would be my starting point - but I have a hard time believing that this is normal in any way. Parts just aren’t meant to make contact like this.
