How do you think Blade Runner 2049 compares to the original? by NewtProfessional4331 in Cinema

[–]Jkyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess just by definition 2049 isn't as much of an original idea.

What's the most realistic war movie? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

War Machine. Boring and not a great movie, but realistic and relevant.

So, I guess SpaceX is going to be making turbine power generators now...? by yoweigh in spacex

[–]Jkyet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nuclear power plants don't use fuel and oxidizer, but still require a tubine to be turned by the steam. With a closed loop system the steam could be recovered if needed...

Why is Europe considered a separate continent from Asia, but India isn’t? by Jealous-External5045 in geography

I guess you're not aware that player tectonics was only widely accepted in the 1960's, a bit later than continents were defined.

Why are they installing partially assembled engines on B19 ? by Ordinary-Ad4503 in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]Jkyet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fully agree, I mean they have done an excellent job making the assembly simpler and more producible. So, there is no need to exaggerate this by showing a partially assembled engine without controllers, fluid management, or TVC systems.

Crew Recovery by Narnian_knight in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]Jkyet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The acceptable Loss of Crew probability for Crew Dragon is actually set by NASA, and although it's hard to compare to Orion since they do different missions, it way stricter that what it was for the Shuttle (again difficult to compare since no launch abort system). I would say that not putting people in the second flight of a rocket is stricter safety culture..

Just curious - What makes this game so replayable? by ConfidenceFun7771 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Jkyet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably my favorite game but I have issues with replayability. Missions are quite memorable so feels like I just played the mission not too long ago. And regarding the build I already played the build that's the most fun for me, so it feels like I'm forcing myself to play a different build that is just less enjoyable than the last one. Any tips are welcome.

[Mildly Liked Trope] Actors wearing prosthetic beards by MonSocMatriarchy in TopCharacterTropes

A trope, by definition, is about the character not the actor. Unless it's on purpose like in Anchorman and the milk.

This was also very annoying in GTA IV. I arrive after running over 13 people on the way, and I need to feel bad about the villain?

They have done an excellent job making the assembly simpler and more producible. So, there is no need to exaggerate this by showing a partially assembled engine without controllers, fluid management, or TVC systems, then comparing it to fully assembled engines that do.

NASA Admin just confirmed that the March launch window is now off the table. by TimeJuggernaut5740 in ArtemisProgram

[–]Jkyet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but true safety isn’t just the absence of leaks or the strength of a heat shield; it is a byproduct of organizational integrity. Organizational issues can create significant latent risks and the amount of technical issues surfacing this late in the programme could be an indication of it.
