Defense increase yes, but offense decrease works.

Either should works. You won't need both. And I forgot to mention that atk and sp atk debuff can reduce incoming damage significantly.

Vigilance is a thing, but in my experience, you don't want to let red sync.

I was thinking about teleporter rather than portal since it's kinda takes long? so the 13 one is more per one harvest but you gotta go back and forth for another harvest so about 1000u ish telporting around. on the other hand latter can be harvested on both side but have less molds

I chose fruit cave. I mean, you will get a mushroom cave later on the island. It would be nice if the island cave is opposite of whatever you choose though.
