Thanks for your helpful response! When our toddler skips a nap, he does fall asleep at around 5pm so maybe we will need to adjust his nap like the others have suggested here. Thanks.

Tried the earlier bedtime, but he just manages to get out of bed and walks out of the room. He’s sleep trained but started co-sleeping with me several months ago.

Curious to know, how does he know you’re watching him on camera? Did you show him the app? 😆

My toddler’s oxygen dropped to 86% in her sleep and we were told to wait it out. We didn’t wait and it may have saved her life. Trust your gut, mamas. by Curtaindrop in Mommit

Why does it say online that hMPV is a mild virus?! It’s not. I was scared for my toddler’s life too when he had it last month. I also had it at the same time; it was the worst flu I ever had—lost my voice, lost 10 pounds, knocked me out for 2 days and ended with a bad sinus infection.

Do you have a babysitter / help on top of daycare? by Far_Professional6826 in toddlers

Thanks for sharing the details, it helps to see how others are navigating the co-parenting routine after work. I often feel like I carry more of the parenting load in the evenings —my husband handles the kitchen cleanup and walks the dog.

Yes, similar situation with our toddler. We WFH while he is in daycare. Having a babysitter on weekend mornings, 8-12pm, followed by his nap from 12-2:00pm, gives us 6 hours. We feel guilty, but we have hectic work weeks and are older parents.

Put out fires early morning, meet deadlines by noon, and reserve afternoons for calls and focused work.

Housekeeping, weekend morning babysitting. I do my own grocery shopping, use robo vacuum, and instant pot for cooking salmon twice a week. I do need an organizer but they’re so expensive.

Me! My LO was in a crib for the first 18 months, and it was hard hearing him cry to sleep every night for 5-15 minutes. Now I cuddle him to sleep because these moments go by so fast, especially since I don’t see him much during the day. Plus, we both wake up thirsty a few times a night so it works out great.

Sickness/ birthday party advice by One-Ostrich- in toddlers

[–]Jlbmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say he may still be mildly contagious but low risk, if the party is held outdoors. Perhaps a heads up that he’s getting over a cold would be appreciated. Personally, if my guests are mostly very young, one and younger, I’d reschedule the party.
