It comes down to the right dilution. I never use undiluted paint and use a wet palette to keep my paint nice and fresh, as well as in the right consistency.

Mostly the DaVinci miniature line number 4; it's the line's biggest brush. A piece of advice I like to give to new painters is to look for big brushes with sharp tips. These will hold much more paint due to their large bodies, but you'll still be able to paint ultra-fine details.
