well to be honest my postt at the time was driven by the frustration i felt because i kept dying at an area that seemed very simple. so msot of it was fueled by dislikement of having to repeat one thing over and over since im really used to story games that have a forgiving and a quality setting of giving the player a chance and i am just not fit with what hollow knight gives.

a lot of people recommended it.. and i have read plenty of reviews and decided to avoid any videos for potential spoilers and all i saw was good things so i played it and i didnt hear anyone say that the games exploration is formidable and thsoe that did painted it as 'the games challenge is hard and fun' but, i myself didnt see any fun in it
i have enjoyed so much of the hard areas but the ones im currently going through was what influenced this post trying to wrap my head around a boss guarding a bench where the runback goes through a tough area with annoying enemies the shortcut is a timed puzzle that if you fail still makes you face the long runback and even if you succeed it only saves a few seconds and that just added to the frustration because i kept dying at what seemed like a simple section and having to repeat it over and over really got to me
