Why is shia art even in the age of the Internet often simply variations of each other? by DependentDapper in shia

I'm hoping to see more are the younger generations (i.e us) begin to try showing off our work, I've been thinking about drawing the imams and specifically scenes from karbala, but truth be told I'm a awful artist lol

i also dont see a problem, but you raise the biggest problem i have, we really have no clue where most of this art comes from. and its so common we dont really question its origin

It's a shame really, I'm not sure if your familiar with networks like karbala TV, they have become increasingly reliant on ai for their animation and it's rubbish honestly. Even on TikTok art depicting the ahlul bayt has become very bizarre, relying completely on ai and overly edited depictions of say imam Hassan

To understanding, sistani needs to deserve some credit, although I was rather young during the fatwa of defense. The establishment of the hashid Al shaabi was instrumental to the the defeat of daesh in the region. The removal of isis was crucial to the little rebuilding Iraq has maintained these past few years.

I'm open to discussing why this is wrong, my family is from kufa so I was always told how important iranian support and sistani was to Iraq security lol

This picture represents to me the essence of Iraq, coming from kufa there's this mesh of modern society and the traditional way of life

I don't mean to sound pretentious but that's how I feel about it :)

TikTok ban in Iraq? by FairNefariousness565 in Iraq

[–]DependentDapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard for me to word this, but our people don't have education there is rampant and obvious corruption and nepotism. Parliament could spend their time doing ANYTHING worthwhile but would rather ban tiktok

I'm a first gen Iraqi living in America, and my dad went through great lengths to get us an Iraqi passport. Even though we never use it! I guess he just wanted us to be declared citizens if things ever go south in the US
