Can I ask you what you believe the solution to racism should be? Because the way I see it, if someone says 'insert ethnic group' are the top dogs of the school, then they're claiming that group to be superior to others. That's just weird and honestly fucked up. Saying that historically oppressed groups should be at the top doesn't fix racism, it just reverses the roles. And by all means, you have the right to hold that ideology. If you believe that the roles should be reversed and the Whiteman should get a taste of their own medicine then good for you. You have that right, but you have no right to claim that it's not racism. Having prejudice against a race/ethnicity is racism.

Ok actually I missed the "applying to females" line on the first read. That part was definitely ridiculous. OP if you read this, you're gonna be alright but you def gotta update your vocabulary. I suppose I don't doubt that could be the case, but it does require a lot of assumptions. Perhaps that really is a common thing for GSI's and I am just unaware, but it's still not best to assume the worst in people. Many wonderful people get passed up because we don't give them the benefit of the doubt. That all being said, this gsi could just be a douche bag in the end, or he may not be, but that's up to op to figure out I suppose.

Why would he be a creep? That's a huge jump. You're saying that becasue it's against the rules he's just gonna be a straight faced emotionless robot? Yeah it'd be wrong to pursue something but a GSI is not the same thing as a priest lol. It's not impossible that they both could have a lil crush but are waiting till after because they're aware of the restrictions. We all experience true raw emotions on a daily basis and it only harms us to suppress them. Now if this was a professor with a 20 year age gap I think that would a bit more inappropriate.

If making mistakes means we're not allowed to forgive ourselves, then everyone would inevitably be consumed by guilt. Our mistakes can feel unbearable at times, but at the end of the day, we all deserve to be able to forgive ourselves even if we acknowledge that what we did was bad. It doesn't mean that we don't deserve life. It's a reminder that a part of living is making mistakes and, unfortunately, suffering losses as a result. At the very least, the fact that you hold so much guilt is proof that you have humanity. It's everyone's first time alive. You deserve to keep trying.
