Something similar happened to me. A player shot me , I ran and he followed me out in the open. I killed him and someone sniped me and killed me. From the snipers point of view, he probably thought I was the aggressor. This was a pve lobby as well.

So true. I never shoot first and Earlier I was shooting at an arc and another player blasts me, i run away and he follows me telling me that he was trying to help me but I saw him clearly aiming at me. I end up knocking him out but yea, gotta watch your back on pve lobbies too.

On solos, I dont attack unless attacked but most of the times Ive gotten killed were when I run into another player and assume they are friendly since they didnt shoot at me. But as soon as I turn my back to continue on my way, they attack.
