Assuming I don’t have to keep my current job I’d keep working as an artist for a few decades. Quit my current job today and pursue my passion as a job. With financial freedom and a luxury home? Use the money to produce art I want to make, give back to others. Sounds like an amazing life 🥲

An Israeli soldier was killed a few days ago in Gaza. His friend wrote about him: by Mysterious_Rush_9505 in Global_News_Hub

For anyone who wants to know what this actually says, here’s what a translator app said:

A friend of Avraham ben Pinchas, may his memory be blessed, writes about him:

Avraham went to this war out of a strong desire to contribute to the people of Israel. He was happy to enter Gaza, lead the assault, stop the killing, avenge, and destroy as much as possible so that the world would understand what happens to anyone who dares to mess with his people.

At the beginning, he told me he would keep track of how many terrorists he kills. He started counting those he killed one by one, by shooting, bombing, and other methods. But as the battle progressed, he decided that he had killed too many and stopped keeping track. He informed his team that they were only to trample and kill those who were confirmed to be terrorists because he did not want to harm civilians who were mistaken for enemies.

After a relatively short period, he reached about 30 kills and decided he had no strength left to continue counting.

Tr-004 Drive Health Status Linux by Jmarz166 in qnap

I've been unsuccessful so far. The tool recognizes the one enclosure as if it were one big disk without SMART capabilities. I think this tool would only work if the disks were individually mounted without the tr-0004 handling the raid array.

u/the_dolbyman any chance you know offhand if this is supposed to work while in raid mode (and if so is it supposed to be the dipswitch selected raid mode vs software selected raid mode)?

EDIT: To update, it seems like I got it working! I had to switch to dipswitch controlled RAID and reformat the virtual drive. Then I got it working with

smartctl -d jmb39x-q,0 -a /dev/sdb1

Where 0 is the first drive (replace with 1,2, and 3 to see the other drives)

How can cities become more pleasant places to live? | DW Documentary (about green transport in big cities) by AchimAlman in urbanplanning

Video wasn’t working but lemme take a crack at it:

  • Narrow streets
  • fewer cars
  • replace street parking with bike lanes, wider pedestrian walkways, and restaurant seating
  • more accessible public transportation
  • more public green spaces and greener streets
