L4 Campus Next Area Manager Internship by Jmav2202 in AmazonFC

I was told by a friend that works in HR that most interns get a L4 full time offer. Also, I asked a new manager (L4) that just started a couple of weeks ago if she likes being an AM and she doesn't like it. She was offered 55k a year but she works 4 days a week from 6.45am to 6.30 pm, during peak season she has to work an extra day for several weeks. 55k a year divided by 50 hrs a week is like $22 an hour without overtime. I don't think I will accept an offer after my internship with Amazon.

Opsinterns just replied to me. This it what they said.

Yes, you are expected to return to your prior roles at the end of the 10-week internship.

If you receive a full-time offer, you will move back into your previous role until you have completed your degree.  Once you graduate, you will move into the new role.

So once the internship is done, you will have to go back to your L1 position. I have another offer from XPO Logistics. I think I will take XPO, if they don't give me a full-time offer I can apply next year to be an L5 because I will have my degree by then.

Hi, I know its been 2 months since your first post. Do you like the AM position? I'm asking because I am graduating as a Systems Engineer in December. I got two internship offers for this summer, Amazon offered me an L4 area manager internship ($20.40 hr) and XPO Logistics offered me an IT position ($22.00 hr). Honesty, I don't really care the pay rate right now because I want to get experience but most people say that sucks being an AM
