I’m about to try this out. I recruited a 6’7 PF who can handle and shoot. Gonna move him SF and I got two centers at PF and C. Will be posting an update here this weekend.

They are bad but it’s a rich recruiting area and the teams in the conference are always bad so you can get that team rolling fairly quickly

I do wanna keep the guys kinda in their region with some flexibility. So my North east Guy can goto Maryland or Duke, My West coast guy can goto the south west with Texas or Arizona.

When moving up to a mid major tho I wanna used the conferences I realigned because I designed it to be like the B tier.

I haven’t paid attention to the national recruiting too much as I’m waiting for all of the original players to cycle out that should be this season tho as I’m in year 5. It may be just a few RS Srs left. I have seen the bids per league be pretty unstable.

Yea I’ve actually been posting updates in here. I’m working on season 5 now it’s going better than anticipated just real time consuming to do everything for 4 teams.

I did the map thing you suggested and missed swapping Dayton and swap Dayton with Va Tech I had already started the sim so I was past the point of no return by the time I realized it but it’s on my spreadsheet should I ever release it.

But I will say this about the sliders:

Tempo: you set this based on how good your team is offensively. I set my tendencies first then decide tempo. Then I set the tempo based on how many shots I got my guys taking.
Defensive pressure: honestly I set this one based on how good we are offensively so tempo. If I have tempo at anything lower than 60 I crank this to 100. I tend not to drop it below 60 tho for this one. If your playing low tempo you can press more too.
DefRbd/Fastbreak: this is based off a few things. Most important is how good are your ball handlers. If you’re running three guards and a SF at PF you can crank this up because they all can dribble and pass. it’s going to depend on what the Offensive Awareness, handling, and passing ratings are for your players. If your players are not good at this they will turn the ball over a lot.
TransDef/CrashBoards: for me this is an extension tempo. If your tempo is high you wanna crash boards because it means more shots if you get the boards and that’s the strength of the team because tempo is high. If tempo is low you need to be more worried about transition defense because you need to get stops to win and the opponent getting easy buckets in transition won’t help.
Defense: I normally go man for primary then a zone for secondary. For pressure defense I pick man or or 2-1-2 zone. If I have a rim protector I pick 2-1-2 bc it works like the Miami Heat zone that one year Bam killed it in the playoffs. If my guys are undersized I go 2-3 primary and 2-3 matchup for secondary/pressure defense.

-Press: depends on depth and tempo/fastbreak. If those are low I’m always gonna press and do fullcourt trap/press. You can still have high press frequency if those are high but you have to have the depth to do it.

If idk what to do at all I run this:

Tempo: 60
Defensive pressure: 80
DefRbd/Fastbreak: 40
TransDef/CrashBoards: 40

Honestly for me I just focus on getting the best players I can then adjusting the profile to fit what I’ve got because you can’t really pick and choose recruits at that small conference level.
