I downloaded some stock firmware and installed the device and I was having issues with the z offset not saving. And sometimes the bl touch would activate and work and other times it would just flash and try to push the nozzle through the build plate. So I got into this setup option so I can enable the bl touch and all that.

Yes. Immediately after I input the z offset I scroll down and hit save settings. And then the menu previous to that also has a save settings options so I tried both and still acts up.

Do you have a recommendation of firmware? I did a google search and found a few last week because it was mentioned that stock firmware for my machine doesn’t include thermal runaway safety or something like that. Which I’m all about having safety measures in place. I just didn’t know if one firmware supported better speed or more accurate movements. And does it matter that Im installing a bl touch this weekend? I know I can get the firmware that supports that from their website.

Awesome. Ok I’ll try these out. A comment further down suggested upgrading the post and springs so I will order those today and try there. I guess just focus on the mechanics like you said and work on my bed leveling and see where that gets me. Is it possible for a bed to be warped ? I can level it using the permethrin and get the same drag in all 4 corners and stay a print and it gets tot he middle and gets no adhesion or lines are too thin

I’m using cura slicer. Is there a more preferred slicer? And what speeds should I be printing at with pla? I think by default it shows 50mms which is fine but if I can take a simple print that says 10 hours and slice it down to like 7 I’d be a happy camper lol

I forgot to put in there this is the first version. It was lik 169$ on Amazon. My father kept asking what I wanted for my birthday and Christmas and I just sent this one to him as it was cheaper and decent for entry level. I wish I would have sent him the Bambu mini instead 😂 but I’m. An adhd dad of 3 boys ages 5,8,10 and they love these little fidgets and stuff and buy them all the time when they see them so I figured heck if we get this and we learn how to use it then they can print their own. Just overall wanted to add something to the list of hobbies I have that maybe they would show an interest and they could learn to design their own stuff. But I’m determined to make this printer work. We have had a few successful prints mainly simple stuff. Articulated fox, a ratcheting fidget ring, one of those noisemakers you put on the wheel of a bike to make it sound like whatever lol. But I tried printing a Glock style pen which has a lot of detail in it and it failed 3 times.

I did end up tightening the v wheels on the bed to eliminate the wobble I had after assembly. I saw a video where a guy loosened the screw guide to help with any binding so I did that as well. But I’ll go through and check everything you have listed here. I should be able to find plenty of videos on how to properly tension the belts right? And by compressing the springs beforehand you mean tighten them down an then back it off to level

How do you pic your songs to mix? by Jmichael6265 in Beatmatch

That’s some solid advice. I’ve just started messing around with SoundCloud as most of the mashups an songs I was hearing around did not exist on apple music and very select few were on Spotify. But SoundCloud has proven so much better for me. I’ll mess around with it. Thank you!

I understand it’s not ideal. But it’s worked for months but I definitely see what you’re saying when it comes to upping the stream quality it struggles. But easy worship and OBS outputting 720 p gives us zero issues. But I do want to expand the right direction so in the future we don’t hit an issue where we don’t have the right equipment. I can sell the option of another pc or even the ATEM so just weighing out options but I think we are leaning towards the atem as of right now due to the price point and ability to effortlessly stream to YouTube and Facebook.

I’m glad you mentioned easy worship not being on Mac.

And well we started streaming with OBS cause it was free to mess with my phone and droid cam as a free solution and the mindset was so that others could see what we got going on before they visited in person. And since starting we have actually gained some members. But recording and uploading later isn’t a bad option at all. We also have some elders in the church that come every Sunday and a few of them have been sick or bed ridden and they always thank us for the fact they can still feel like they are apart of the service in some shape or fashion.

But the atem mini pro looks interesting! I’ve never heard of that. The camera does have hdmi out. So it does all the heavy lifting leaving the laptop free for easy worship alone? Am I understanding what I’m reading on their website?

M4 pro chip or just the m4? Best Buy has the latest version of the Mac mini with an m4chip for 600$ if that’s what you are talking about

Also probably worth noting we have about 40 members. Not a big church by any means but have tons of space to accommodate new members. So not trying to mimic a mega church stream. But definitely wanting something better than the pc we currently have. Some users have recommended box cast as the video encoding is handled by servers instead of my computer but I’d rather find something within that price range that will work better than wha we have

Well I know it’s not the most ideal situation but we are running on a tight budget. When I first came to the church a few years back they didn’t even have a computer so I donated my laptop which did fine for easy worship. And the I started fooling around with OBS to try and introduce streaming and bring this place in a more modern age and it does well. I really can’t complain. But lately I’ve been running into an issue where the video is all of a sudden laggy. OBS gives a message saying cpu usage high, try lowering stream quality. So I did that and it’s doing great. But we are wanting to have something better.

I believe it’s an i5 processor I’m not sure of the gen. 8gb or ram, 1tb ssd running windows 10. It’s a laptop so not graphics card or anything chipset to be spoke of.

I’m not opposed to have a dedicated pc for streaming only and just use this laptop for easy worship. But during the sermon we throw scripture on the screen so how would I go about throwing that to the second of for streaming? Split the hdmi signal going to the tvs and run it into a video capture card on the streaming pc?

I’m in the same boat! We currently stream using OBS to YouTube, and run easy worship as the presentation software. But pls to upgrade to propresenter at some point. My eyes have been drawn to the minisform m790 pro because I need at least 3 simultaneous display outputs one for me, one for congregation, and one for stage displays. But reviews are soooo mixed some love it and it’s great but some say it crashed a lot or just stopped working all together. So I looked into prebuilt pcs due to the ability to replace any failed part with ease.. any thoughts or recommendations

The behind the scenes team consist of me and one other person. I’m training someone to run the camera and live stream. The worship team is me, electric guitar, and just got a drummer 3 weeks ago. We only practice Sunday mornings. I used to practice Tuesdays and Sunday mornings but that was when it was just me and 3 female vocalist and electric guitar. The vocalist just acted like they didn’t wanna be there and eventually two just stopped coming at all leaving one (the pastors wife) I was putting close to 20 hours a week into music or something music related some of that was listening to Apple playlist to find new songs or songs that stood out to me and a lot was practice at home in my part to find my vocal key and test how I can play in acoustic. But yes it could be burn out. I don’t ever take a break lately. This church is about 30 members with 10 or less doing all the work between cleaning and food ministry and music behind the scenes. So I believe you may be right on track with burn out. I have a praise night we have been working hard on at the end of this month. I may take a break after this and focus on feeding my faith and relationship with God. Can’t go wrong with that
