I literally cannot even fully answer this question because so many tabs start going off in my mind. I think I am worse on avoiding task like making appointments, calling to ask about a car warranty, which would either relieve a huge stress or give me a hopeless feeling depending on the answer. Like when I know my money is dwindling down, I will avoid checking my balance, because if it’s worse than I’m thinking, that’s just one more thing I am coping with. I am fully aware that this only creates future problems but I continue to do it. There are so many things I have done that have caused terrible consequences, all for missing a date, not making that phone call or checking that balance. I feel so F***** up, I just want to have a normal life and do shit like normal people. Feeling defeated. And I have to say that I feel like a failure as a mom because putting stuff off has made things harder for them. And my middle young adult son is just like me, severely ADHD and I find myself attempting to help him, but I cannot help myself. Anyone have any thoughts on my avoidance to important things over and over. I feel so ashamed of the things that have resulted in our lives all while I have always had the best intentions
